What's new
ButcherCraft 0.6.6 – Atomic Multi-Output Transformations
New
- Added an Atomic Multi-Output Transformation Engine.
- Introduced transactional material processing with automatic rollback support.
- Added deterministic material store and transaction systems for future production workflows.
- Added support for processing transformations that can produce multiple outputs.
Improvements
- Transformation execution now validates all inputs and outputs before committing changes.
- Output capacity failures safely prevent processing without consuming materials.
- Unexpected execution failures automatically restore all materials to their original state.
- Existing Grinder processing remains fully compatible with the new transaction system.
Developer Notes
This release establishes the processing model required for advanced workstations such as the Bandsaw and future fabrication equipment. While there are no visible gameplay changes yet, ButcherCraft's processing engine now supports complex production chains while guaranteeing safe, all-or-nothing execution.
Technical Highlights
- Pure Java transaction layer
- Deterministic multi-output processing
- Snapshot and rollback support
- Ordered output execution
- Extensive regression and rollback testing
- Preserved compatibility with existing workstations
Coming Soon
- Bandsaw transformation migration
- Multi-product fabrication
- Datapack transformation loading
- Complete carcass processing
- Packaging and labeling systems
⚠️ Early Development Notice
ButcherCraft is currently in Early Beta.
Development is focused on building a stable, scalable simulation engine before expanding gameplay content. Every foundational release moves the project closer to a fully featured butcher shop and meat processing simulation.
