Bridle completely rebuilds the mount mechanics of Minecraft, transforming the inconsistent vanilla behaviors into a cohesive, immersive system. Saddles serve as the foundation to mount any beast, but you must equip specialized items like bridles, goggles, or hearts of the sea to steer them. Dress your creatures in cozy blankets, dive deep with water breathing on a Nautilus, and enjoy a polished riding experience.

Ever felt that Minecraft's mounts lack structure? Some creatures require a saddle to control, others only to be sat on, and their steering tools vary wildly. Bridle introduces logical rules: a saddle gets you on the creature, but you need the right guide tool to steer.

🎭 Dynamic Customization System
Each accessory equipped on your mount changes its appearance and serves a different purpose as it is equipped (shown below using the Happy Ghast as a modular example for saddle, goggles, and blanket slots):

🧭 Universal Saddles & Steerability
In Bridle, mounting a creature is a separate skill from guiding it:
- Equines & Camels: Place a saddle on your Horse, Donkey, Mule, Skeleton & Zombie Horse, or Camel to mount them. To steer them, you must equip a Bridle in their gear slot.
- Happy Ghasts: Ride them with a saddle. To guide them, you must equip Goggles in their gear slot.
- Nautilus: Ride it with a saddle. To guide it, you must equip the Heart of the Sea.
- Pigs & Striders: Enforce the saddle requirement, and use a Carrot on a Stick or Warped Fungus on a Stick to steer them.

🧵 Cozy Color Blankets
Llamas and Happy Ghasts share a unified color customization system:
- Llamas: Llamas no longer use carpets for decoration, but wear blankets of all 16 colors.
- Happy Ghasts: Happy Ghasts no longer use harnesses. Instead, they share the exact same blankets system for color customization.

🐚 Nautilus Conduit Interaction
In vanilla, riding or standing near a Nautilus simply prevented your air meter from depleting. Bridle reworks this behavior to make it more logical and immersive:
- Simply riding a Nautilus doesn't grant you control or breathing benefits.
- To guide the Nautilus and get the Nautilus Breath effect (which prevents your oxygen meter from depleting), you must equip the Heart of the Sea on it.
- Doing so activates its glowing conduit eye, granting you steerability and the protection of the Nautilus Breath under the waves.
