Bons and Furious 1.0.38+mc1.21.1 (NeoForge)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Bons and Furious 1.0.38 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. Requires Java 21 and NeoForge 21.1.252 or newer. Install bons_and_furious-neoforge-1.0.38+mc1.21.1.jar on the client, the server, or both; optional target mods are not required. Use the separate Forge build for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Fixed: with Sable (the physics library of Create Aeronautics) and Storage Drawers installed, the game stopped while a world started. Sable replaces the Minecraft method that sends packets to nearby players, and the game refused our small Storage Drawers check inside Sable's version. The check now steps aside when another mod has replaced that method, with one line in the log. On older 1.21.1 builds, setting storagedrawers_count_sync_holders=false avoids it.
New: 34 of the 51 controls that Bons and Furious 1.0.36 added, all on by default. They cover L_Ender's Cataclysm (attack and beam scans, leg solvers, idle animations, shield layers, two client memory leaks and more), Lionfish API models, item renderers for Aquaculture and Jaden's Nether Expansion, Distant Horizons, Entity Model Features, and Minecraft's own entity outlines, chunk saving, advancement triggers, entity selectors, terrain noise, climate search, basalt columns and structure search. 13 more are not needed on 1.21.1, and 4 depend on mods without a 1.21.1 NeoForge build.
Also from 1.0.38: a control that changes another mod's patch now steps aside when a third mod removes that patch, instead of stopping the game at start. And a mod whose own patch cannot be checked is left as it ships.
This build carries 205 controls, up from 171 in 1.0.35+mc1.21.1. Of the 306 controls of the Forge release, 55 are retired on 1.21.1 because the newer game or mod already does that work, and 46 depend on mods without a 1.21.1 NeoForge build.
Tested on dedicated servers and in-world clients: Iris 1.8.12 with Complementary shaders, Embeddium alone, Accelerated Rendering with Iris, ServerCore 1.5.19, Generator Accelerator 1.6.2, Bye Pregen 1.1.3.0, TerraBlender with Oh The Biomes We've Gone, C2ME, L_Ender's Cataclysm, Jaden's Nether Expansion with Aquaculture, and Sable with Create Aeronautics and Storage Drawers, on a server and in singleplayer. Across 16 test runs, the checks that compare each control's answers with the original code found no difference, and the terrain was identical with the controls on and off in the base game, with TerraBlender and Oh The Biomes We've Gone, next to Generator Accelerator and next to Bye Pregen. These are compatibility and correctness checks. The performance figures on the project page were measured on Forge 1.20.1 and do not describe this port.
