Description

Bogey

Golf, except it's integrated into Minecraft. No custom blocks, no hole detection, none of that. You just get a ball and a club, and everything else you build from stuff already in the game.

The mod was made to be interactable by what Minecraft gives you by default, so pistons can change the course of the ball, sand can stop it, water makes it float and drags on currents. Predictable physics, no RNG, if a hole feels unfair it's just the good old skill issue.

Features

  • A golf ball entity with roll & bounce physics, and you can dye it any color so you can tell whose ball is whose
  • Animated aim, charge and swing
  • Different physics for different blocks. Sand/gravel/mud/snow slow you down, slime makes the ball jump higher, water slows down but makes the ball flow on currents
  • Bells, levers and buttons react if the ball rolls into them, so redstone contraptions are expected on course designs
  • With Mod Menu and Cloth Config, you can change the configs on some stuff (like the rendered guideline)

This is still early in development (beta), and on purpose kept small: one ball, one club, no variants or cosmetics yet. The idea is to give you the core and you express your creativity.

Bug reports and feedback are always welcome. This mod was made by me to play with some friends, just thought about publishing it for fun.
