BlockNet adds working internet-connected computers and Wi-Fi routers to Minecraft, letting players place a computer block in the world and open a full Chromium-powered browser directly inside the game. Websites render on the computer’s screen, can be interacted with through a custom in-game browser interface, and remain tied to the individual computer block rather than just a temporary menu. The mod turns Minecraft into a space where web browsing exists as part of the world itself.
Each computer acts like its own persistent machine, with support for homepage settings, current page tracking, screen power state, startup and shutdown behavior, and an immersive retro-style operating interface. The browser can be viewed both through the interactive full-screen UI and on the physical monitor model in the world, making it feel like a real device that belongs in a build. Audio, status feedback, and per-computer settings help make each placed machine feel distinct and functional.
BlockNet also introduces a router system that connects computers to the internet through in-game networking, making connectivity part of gameplay rather than just background logic. This creates opportunities for multiplayer builds, roleplay setups, tech-themed bases, and decorative computer rooms that are actually usable. Instead of being a simple prop mod, BlockNet is designed to make in-world computers feel like real, interactive machines with live web access inside Minecraft.
NOTE: REQUIRES MY COPY OF MCEF TO OPERATE. YOU MAY ALSO NEED TO DISABLE FIREWALL FOR INITIAL LAUNCH WITH THE MOD SO IT CAN DOWNLOAD THE CORRECT FILES. THEN YOU MAY TURN FIREWALL BACK ON. this is just for the initial start of the game, you can turn firewall back on once you get to the main menu of the game after youve installed both my copy of mcef and also this mod.
