BuildCraft 2 for NeoForge
Bring industrial automation to your Minecraft world with BuildCraft. Build machines, connect them with pipes, generate power, and automate the movement of items and fluids across your base.
This project ports BuildCraft to Minecraft 26.3 using NeoForge, bringing its machinery and transport systems to a modern Minecraft environment.
Mining and Construction
Automate excavation with the Quarry, which builds a frame around its work area and mines the blocks inside. Use Land Markers to define the area for supported machines.
BuildCraft also includes construction tools such as Builders, Architect Tables, blueprints, and Fillers for planning structures and carrying out building tasks.
Item and Fluid Transport
Create pipe networks to move resources between machines, storage containers, and tanks.
Different pipe materials provide specialized transport behavior, allowing you to build everything from simple connections to larger automated systems. Fluid pipes carry water, oil, fuel, and other supported fluids.
Engines and Power
Power your machinery with BuildCraft’s engine system:
•
Redstone Engines for basic tasks.
•
Stirling Engines powered by solid fuel.
•
Combustion Engines using liquid fuel and cooling water.
•
Creative Engines for testing and creative builds.
BuildCraft machines use Minecraft Joules (MJ).
Pumps, Tanks, and Fluid Processing
Use Pumps to collect fluids from the world and send them through connected pipes. Store fluids in Tanks, supply cooling water to engines, and build processing systems around oil and fuel.
Automation and Guidance
Gates and pipe attachments provide tools for controlling transport networks and responding to machine conditions. The in-game Guide Book explains supported items and machines, while advancements introduce key parts of BuildCraft’s progression.
Port Status
This NeoForge port is a work in progress. Core systems have received compatibility fixes and runtime testing, but some legacy features and integrations may remain incomplete. Back up existing worlds before updating, and report problems with logs and steps to reproduce them.
BuildCraft was originally created by SpaceToad and developed by the BuildCraft team. This project continues that work through a NeoForge port.
