BlockPinpoint
Point at any block — instantly see what it is and exactly where it is.
BlockPinpoint is a lightweight, fully client-side overlay for Minecraft 1.20.1. Press Y to pin a live info panel to your screen; press Y again to hide it. The panel updates in real time — look at another block and the info changes instantly.
What it shows
- Block name — localized, in your game language
- Block ID — e.g.
minecraft:stone - Exact position — X / Y / Z coordinates
Plus optional extra lines (each can be toggled individually):
- Targeted face of the block (north, top, …)
- Exact hit point with sub-block precision
- Distance to the block
- Blockstate properties (
facing=east, half=top, …) - Hitbox size (great for slabs, stairs, fences)
- Hardness & blast resistance
- Biome
- Source mod of the block
Fully customizable
Open the settings with U or /blockpinpoint:
- Show or hide any line of the panel
- Text size 50–200 %
- Background opacity 0–100 %
- Panel position — precise sliders, or simply drag & drop the panel anywhere on screen
- Reset buttons for position and all settings
Everything is saved to config/blockpinpoint.json and persists between sessions.
