What's new

# 1.1.0 (English)

## New content

### 🌾 Sickle

Harvests a whole patch in one go — **and replants it in place**.

- **Right-click the ground**: every **ripe** crop in a **7×7** area centred on the block you
  point at is harvested at once and immediately regrows as a seedling, so there is no
  replanting to do afterwards.
- **Crops that are not ripe are never touched**, so swinging at a half-grown field is safe.
- Two layers are scanned — the block you clicked and the one above it — so right-clicking
  **bare farmland** still reaches the crops standing on it.
- **Ripeness is not read from a list of known crops**: the sickle asks the block itself
  whether its growth stage has topped out. Wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, nether wart,
  cocoa, sweet berry bushes and **crops added by other mods** are therefore all supported
  automatically, and paddy crops keep their water when cut.
- Melon stems, pumpkin stems and bamboo are **skipped**: for those, "fully grown" does not
  mean "ready to cut", and harvesting one would flatten the whole patch.
- **Wild crops** — edible plants that grow in the world on their own and have no growth
  stages — are cut and taken in one go, never replanted, and are **not governed by the
  mowing switch below**: gathering wild greens is harvesting, not weeding.
- It also **clears weeds** in range (grass, ferns, dead bushes — things that grow by
  themselves). **Flowers and saplings are left alone**, since those are planted on purpose.
  This part can be turned off in the server config.
- **2000 durability, 1 point per block harvested**, so a full-coverage swing can cost up to
  98. Repairable with **diamonds** on an anvil.
- Enchantable with **Fortune** (harvesting runs the block's own loot table, so yields really
  do rise), **Unbreaking**, **Mending**, and **Silk Touch** (mutually exclusive with Fortune).
- Half-second cooldown between swings; **a swing that harvests nothing still triggers it**.
- **Recipe**: 2 diamonds + 2 iron ingots + 1 stick

  ```
  . D D
  I I .
  S . .
  ```

- With **Kaleidoscope Cookery** installed, a second recipe is available: its sickle +
  2 diamonds + 1 iron ingot (shapeless). Without that mod the recipe is discarded at load
  time and creates no dependency.

### 🥚 Poultry Coop

Poultry lay their eggs in here instead of all over the ground. **3 columns × 2 rows, 6 slots.**

- A bird about to lay (**7.5 seconds** ahead by default) **walks over on its own**; if it
  arrives, the egg goes straight into the coop, with a **25%** chance of a feather alongside.
- **Nothing is lost if it does not make it**: too far away, walled off, or the coop is full,
  and it simply lays on the spot exactly as it always would. The mod never intercepts
  vanilla's egg logic — it just gets the egg into the coop before vanilla's timer fires —
  so eggs can **neither be duplicated nor destroyed**.
- **Laying speed is identical to vanilla**: the coop saves you the walk, not the wait.
  The feathers are its real payoff.
- The coop is only **half a block tall**, so birds step up and lay while standing on it.
- **Eggs and feathers inside show on the outside**, so you can see it needs emptying without
  opening it.
- **Output only**: a hopper can pull eggs out (which is the whole point), but nothing can be
  piped in — a coop filled with junk would leave the birds nowhere to lay. You can still
  place items by hand through the screen.
- Attraction range, head-start window and feather chance are all adjustable in the server
  config (defaults: radius 8, vertical 4, 150 ticks, 25%).
- **Recipe**: 5 planks (via the `#minecraft:planks` tag, so **any wood works**, including
  modded wood) + 2 wheat + 1 hay block + 1 egg

## New compatibility: Untitled Duck Mod

Works when installed, changes nothing when not.

- **Ducks and geese can be bred at the feeding trough.** What counts as feed is decided by
  each animal, so their diet (assorted seeds) is supported with no adaptation.
- **Ducks and geese walk to the poultry coop to lay**, on exactly the same terms as hens
  (arrive and the egg is stored, miss and it drops normally).
- **Ducks have a 25% chance of an extra duck feather**; **geese produce none** — that
  matches their own loot table, which has no feather in it.

## New look: the feeding trough shows what it is stocked with

Previously every trough looked the same. Now you can tell **what a trough is feeding from
across the pasture**:

| Contents | Shown in the trough |
|---|---|
| Wheat and other grain | Sheaves of wheat |
| Carrots / potatoes / beetroot | A mixed pile of carrots and potatoes |
| Seeds of any kind | A heap of mixed seed, brimming over the rim |
| Flowers (for bees) | Poppies and dandelions standing above the rim |
| Anything unrecognised | The generic feed heap |

These are the **actual item sprites**, not a drawn heap. Classification runs off tags, so
crops from other mods sort themselves as long as they use the common tags.
