Adding the Lua box and data pipes. Written for mods like "Billboard Engine" or "Typestones" that may use this as a soft dependency.
Both mods go next level if this is API is present. The interactive blocks get more abilities and can become controlled by your Lua scripts.
As of v0.2.0 Billboard API also provides Redstone Ports: A special pipe that is a full block and can communicate with some vanilla redstone parts like pistons or lamps. The Redstone Ports can be camouflaged by right clicking with a block in hand. Shift-right-clicking with an empty hand removes the texture.
One can see the Billboard API as a replacement for CC: Tweaked. Somehow it is the same: It can execute Lua scripts. And somehow it is something completely different, trying to be simpler and easier to use.
