BIGDOGS RAYGUNS

Why mine a mountain when you can delete it? Over 30 absurdly overpowered rayguns with cinematic, over-the-top effects, a world-slicing katana, and massive bosses that drop the Raygun Cores you need to build them.

What's new

1.0: first public release, changes since 0.1
Rayguns

Every raygun shows a Hazard Rating of Low, Medium, High or Extreme in its tooltip, the Station guide and the book. The creative tab lists them from least to most destructive.
Your own rayguns can’t hurt you. Your shot never damages, burns, freezes, pulls, pushes or buries you, and summoned creatures never attack their owner.
Guns are held the right way round, and beams start at the muzzle.
The Event Horizon is three times bigger and pulls in everything within 100 blocks.
The Solar Lance melts a real trench up to 16 blocks deep.
The Storm Sovereign’s storm lasts 35 seconds instead of 70.
The Dimension Ripper swaps a sphere 60 blocks across instead of 20.
The Supernova fires a beam and detonates where you aim, with its full 220-block damage radius. Before, it exploded on top of you and its damage stopped at 160 blocks.
The Dragon Armada flies one smooth route out of a portal you can actually see.
The Glass Dome is 240 blocks across and fills with a swelling fireball before it shatters. Spectators pass through it.
The Prismatic Annihilator moved from Low to Extreme.
Big effects stay visible from far away and no longer pop out of view.
Guide book and Raygun Station

Every player gets the BIGDOGS RAYGUNS guide book on first join, and a command hands out another.
The Station’s recipe panel works on servers. Items without a recipe say how to get them.
Every item has the same tooltip layout: description, rating, controls, and Hold Shift for details.
Bosses

Gravemaw turns in wide curves, and its body follows its head instead of vanishing.
The Nebula Leviathan and the Overseer no longer disappear when their head leaves your loaded chunks.
Hitboxes match the bodies, and the Overseer’s legs can be climbed.
Operators can show boss hitboxes with a debug command.
New content

Raynium Ore sits deep underground, with rare geodes. Raw Raynium smelts into ingots in a blast furnace, and nine ingots make a Block of Raynium that works as a beacon base.
Raynium Armor is upgraded from netherite at the Station. It beats netherite and cuts boss damage by 12% per piece. The full set adds the Raynium Barrier, Shockwave Anchor, Acid Proof and Stellar Sight.
The Totem of Perpetuity saves you five times, and a Block of Raynium in an anvil recharges it. It is found only in the Perpetuity Vault, a rare abandoned lab full of traps and drones.
Three Boss Shrines each have a Summoning Altar: the Devourer’s Grave, the Crash Site and the Starwatch Observatory. Cartographers sell maps to them.
Five advancements were added: A Rare Find, Dressed for the Occasion, Perpetual, Pilgrimage and Undying Repeatedly.
Sounds and settings

All 188 sounds are original, including a looping music track for each boss. The mod has its own volume slider.
A full settings screen opens from Mod Menu, a command or a key binding. Personal options stay yours, and world options come from the server.
Old config files update to the new format automatically.
Fixes

Raynium Armor icons show armor trims.
Shrines and the vault pick flat ground and no longer float or expose their corridors.
The Glass Dome finishes properly on a busy server.
1.1
Ten bomb blocks, all built at the Raygun Station:

Bomb    Rating    What it does
Raynium Charge    Low    Round crater about twice the size of TNT
Prospector Bomb    Low    Strips away rock and leaves every ore standing
Breacher    Medium    16-block crater with scorched edges
Cluster Bomb    Medium    Bursts into bouncing bomblets
Cryo Bomb    Medium    Freezes water, lava, ground and creatures
Singularity Bomb    High    A black hole pulls things in, then leaves a round hole
Crater Maker    High    Deep bowl with a burning rim
Antimatter Bomb    Extreme    A perfect sphere of the world vanishes
Megaton    Extreme    64-block crater, shockwave and mushroom cloud
Planet Cracker    Extreme    256-block crater down to bedrock, with an alarm
Light bombs with flint and steel, fire charges, burning arrows, redstone or fire. Dispensers fire them already lit, and chain reactions work.
A lit bomb beeps faster as its fuse runs out and draws a warning ring at its blast radius.
Whoever lights a bomb is never hurt by it.
Bombs get a new BD ORDNANCE creative tab, a BOMBS tab in the Station guide, a book chapter, a Bombs settings tab and four advancements.
Distant Horizons support. Far terrain now shows craters as soon as a blast settles. This also works on servers that don’t run Distant Horizons. A new option controls it, and Distant Horizons stays optional.

Fix. The Raygun Station guide responds to clicks again at every GUI scale, and the mouse wheel scrolls the list.

Config. Settings files gain the new bomb settings automatically, and existing settings are kept.
