What's new
Minecraft 26.3 is finally out, fixing the bug that broke Big Sign Writer on 26.2. To celebrate, I bring you Big Sign Writer 3.0.0: the Symbols Update!
- Symbols
- Added over 700 symbols split across 8 symbol packs
- Accessed through a smiley face button to the right of BSW's font selector
- Symbols type a little bit differently to fonts, as they do not require a fixed height
- Non-US characters from fonts can be used through the symbols menu (configurable)
- Fonts
- Added two new fonts: 'Copper Bulb', and 'Lapis Lazuli'
- Added most of the Latin Supplement Unicode block characters to the Default font
- Renamed 'Default Monospace' to 'Default Mono'
- Other
- When typing across multiple lines of uneven widths, the shorter lines will be padded with filler characters
- Pressing space will pad first before typing a space
- Fonts can now be added through resource packs
- All built-in fonts are now loaded through BSW's mod resources
- Old font migration code has been removed. If you have duplicate fonts, check your user fonts folder!
- Various fixes and tweaks
- Created a wiki
