Companion Paper Server Plugin
Bible Verse Local is compatible with the companion Bible Verse Paper Server Plugin:
View the companion Bible Verse Paper plugin
When you join a server running the compatible Paper plugin:
- The server sends a one-way presence signal to the Fabric client.
- Bible Verse Local automatically stands down for that session.
- The Paper server handles verse delivery.
- Players receive only one verse instead of duplicate Paper and Fabric messages.
The Paper plugin is completely optional for local users. Bible Verse Local continues working normally in singleplayer and on servers that do not have it.
Privacy and Network Behavior
- Preferences and delivery history are stored only in your local Minecraft instance.
- The mod does not upload your world name, server address, or preference data.
- It does not send custom packets to ordinary multiplayer servers.
- It makes an HTTPS request to bible-api.com when retrieving an online random verse.
- If that request fails or is unavailable, the mod selects a verse from its bundled offline collection.
Translation and License
Online and bundled fallback verses use the World English Bible (WEB). The WEB translation is in the public domain. Learn more at worldenglish.bible.
