Curse Maven Snippet
A legacy LTS release for 1.16. It will not receive new content unlike 1.18 and only possibly bug fixes or progression fixes.
Changelog:
*A new config option that emulates recipe prototyping from Don't Starve, this config option turns on the limited crafting game rule and forces you to unlock recipes via the Science Machine and/or Blueprints
*As a result, the science machine has gotten a rudimentary overhaul. It now complements instead of replacing the crafting table and with the mod's limited crafting gamerule on, if you craft one, place it and be in range, it'll unlock a lot of recipes for you! In future builds, it may also be that recipes are temp-unlocked, removed if you walk away from the radius but become perm-unlocked if you craft any of them
*Config-toggle added for overriding drops of vanilla blocks such as logs and dead bushes
*Charlie now no longer attacks during full moons and she now only attacks in zero light level
*Mobs struck with the mod's torches will now be set on fire, you can also set grass/turf, tall grass, etc on fire via right-clicking with a torch
*Two new biomes: creepy forests and lumpy forests as well as new respective trees for both biomes and new green deciduous leaves; ponds, boulders and spiky trees have also received a makeover
*Marshes now have reeds (and their drops as Cut Reeds), which serve as mod-replacements of sugarcane
*Sapling plants now drop twigs instead of sticks
*Unused turfs in the port such as savanna and grassland have been removed for now, they may return in the future for 1.18
*Additionally, stumps now generate under the trunks of evergreen, lumpy evergreen and birchnut trees, these can't be removed with axes but right-clicking them with a shovel will remove them at cost of shovel-durability and give you a single log
*Slightly more floor/wall options are here now and there is also a config toggle to disable phantom spawns to encourage usage of said new walls
*You can also use wooden flooring to craft doors, trapdoors, scaffolding and ladders, allowing you mix and match both Don't Starve and Minecraft style bases
*The way you get manure has changed, feeding cows, pigs or sheep certain types of food will make them drop a single manure. This item must be a vegetable/fruit and must not be the item used to make them mate
*Spears, spider glands and healing salves have been buffed
*Boards have been reduced to three logs for input and boards/ropes/cut stone have become shapeless x3 recipes and hammers have had their recipe tweaked
*Creative tabs have been resorted to resemble the crafting tabs from Don't Starve plus a couple of misc tabs to sort other stuff where they don't fit anywhere else
