Guns are built to feel distinct and reliable. Each one has different performance, encouraging you to choose based on your playstyle rather than raw power.

They can also have abilities: special effects applied to targets when hit. Guns can be upgraded up to level 10, adding depth without overcomplicating combat.

The system is designed to keep crafting easy while still giving you powerful tools, making survival smoother even in extreme scenarios like apocalyptic or infection-based worlds. The mod is fully compatible with Harmony: Symbiotic Ascension, including specific features designed to work alongside it.

The controls are simple and intuitive. Use the left mouse button to shoot, and the right mouse button to aim. Reloading is done with the R key, which can be changed anytime in the Key Bindings settings.

The mod is fully configurable through the better_tech_weapons
config files common, client, and server .toml. You can configure it more easily using Configured by MrCrayFish. While the current options are still limited, they allow basic adjustments and will be expanded over time.



Turrets are designed as modular and scalable defenses. Each one follows a simple naming system, starting with the letter T followed by a serial number. All turrets require energy to function, provided by batteries that can be crafted in the Tech Bench. Once placed, they can be removed by water.

There are five distinct types of turrets: Railgun, Single Shot, Volley Shots, Rockets, and Energy. Each category behaves differently and uses its own type of ammunition, allowing you to adapt your strategy depending on the situation.

Turrets can be upgraded using modules. Their level is directly tied to the number of installed modules, excluding the upgrade module. You can improve durability and damage, while a special upgrade module allows you to go beyond the five modules limit.

Targeting can be handled manually or through simple filters, letting you decide whether the turret should attack other players except the owner, animals, hostile mobs, or any entity that engages the turret.

Survival isn’t just about weapons,  the right companion makes the difference.
A heavily enhanced gecko equipped with mounted shotgun and a protective energy shield. Its attacks trigger a volatile cryo-combustion effect that rapidly overwhelms anything in its path. Not all companions are built for combat. Some provide… unique support. Just don’t provoke them.

The Tech Bench allows you to craft weapons, armor, ammunition, and automated turrets.
It’s designed to be simple and accessible, giving you everything you need without unnecessary complexity. The Upgrade Bench focuses on improving your gear. Here you can enhance your weapons, making them stronger and more effective as you progress.

Better Tech Weapons Reworked, also known as Better Tech Weapons: Robot Revolution, is set in a world marked by centuries of war.

Robots existed long before the rise of humanity. When players appeared, something in their behavior changed. They adopted the same ideas as the symbionts (Harmony: Symbiotic Ascension ), and from that moment their goal became clear: to eliminate all civilization.

The villagers, who once lived peacefully alongside the robots, have become the Rebels, the last resistance against their imminent extinction. Scattered across the world are their outposts, their final refuge.
