Better Simple Clouds 1.2.2 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
1.2.2
A second fix for Project Atmosphere, for both builds (NeoForge 1.21.1 and Forge 1.20.1).
- With Project Atmosphere installed, Better Simple Clouds no longer touches the cloud mesh shader or Simple Clouds' mesh mode at all. 1.2.1 had stopped changing Project Atmosphere's shader, but it still switched Simple Clouds to the mesh mode its own Sync-Free Mesh Path needs ("concurrent compute dispatches", off by default in Simple Clouds), so that shader was built in a mode it is not built in otherwise. A report of the shader then failing after joining a server ("An error occured when linking program ... projectatmosphere:cube_mesh ... array index out of bounds") led here. Thanks to Mysticpasta1 again.
- The same goes for any other replacement of that shader that Better Simple Clouds' additions do not build on: Simple Clouds is then initialised once more in its own mesh mode instead of staying in the forced one.
Beside Project Atmosphere the options that live in the mesh shader stay off: the in-cloud fill, Cloud Smoothing, Small Cloud Detail, the far-cloud options and the Sync-Free Mesh Path. Everything else keeps working (cloud and storm fog, Distant Horizons, shader packs, Downpour Rain, cloud spawning). Without Project Atmosphere nothing changes.
Requires Simple Clouds 0.7.3. Optional: Sodium / Embeddium (options pages), Iris / Oculus, Distant Horizons.
