Manage your party once and let every supported FTB team-based mod recognize the same group.

Better Party X FTB Teams connects the party system from Better Party with the team system from FTB Teams.

Better Party remains the authoritative party manager, while the add-on automatically mirrors the party to FTB Teams. This allows FTB Chunks, FTB Quests, and other mods with FTB Teams support to use the same members, roles, and shared team progress.

Automatically creates a linked FTB team for every active Better Party party
Synchronizes the party name and color
Maps the Better Party leader to the FTB Teams owner
Maps Better Party officers to FTB Teams officers
Synchronizes regular party members as regular FTB team members
Handles joins, leaves, kicks, promotions, demotions, and leadership transfers
Reuses a suitable existing FTB team whenever possible
Preserves compatible team IDs, claims, and shared progression
Stores the connection between both systems across server restarts

🔄 How Synchronization Works

Better Party is the authoritative source for party membership, roles, and management.

Players create and manage their party through Better Party.
The add-on creates or adopts a matching FTB party team.
Party data is normally synchronized within one second.
FTB Teams and supported FTB integrations see the synchronized group.

Direct membership or role changes made to a managed FTB team are corrected to match Better Party. Creating a separate FTB party directly is also blocked while the integration is active.

This prevents Better Party and FTB Teams from ending up with different members or conflicting leadership.

🔁 Party Lifecycle

Better Party action	FTB Teams result
Create a party	A linked FTB party team is created or adopted
Invite and accept a player	The player is added to the linked FTB team
Promote a member	The player becomes an FTB Teams officer
Demote an officer	The player returns to the regular member rank
Rename the party	The FTB team name is updated
Change the party color	The FTB team color is updated
Transfer leadership	The new leader becomes the FTB team owner
Kick or remove a player	The player is removed from the FTB team
Leave the party	The player is removed from the FTB team
Disband the party	The managed FTB party team is disbanded

🛡️ Existing Teams and Progress

When a Better Party party does not have a linked FTB team yet, the add-on checks for a suitable existing team that can be adopted.

The existing team of the Better Party leader is preferred.
A suitable team belonging to another party member may be used when necessary.
The existing FTB team ID is preserved when a team is adopted.
Compatible claims, quest progress, and other team-based data can remain attached to the same team.

The add-on does not create an unnecessary replacement team when a suitable existing FTB team can safely be reused.

🧩 Integration with Other FTB Mods

Mods that use FTB Teams can recognize the synchronized party automatically.

This is especially useful for:

Shared FTB Chunks claims
Shared FTB Quests progress
Team-based permissions
Other mods and modpacks that use FTB Teams as their group system

FTB Chunks, FTB Quests, and other integrations are optional and are not bundled with this add-on.
