This is an adventure mod like Eternal Starlight/Twilight Forest. If you are used to those kind of mods and is expecting this mod to be like those, ge tout.

Backwoods is a liminal-horror adventure mod for NeoForge. This a mod that adds new horror dimensions, hostile entities with unique behaviors, progression items, structures, and atmospheric blocks. It also introduces a mental degradation system that changes how you survive the longer you remain in the unknown. The mod aims to diversify and intensify survival through oppressive exploration, limited safety, and enemies that require awareness and timing rather than simple combat. With Backwoods, you will once again feel fear while traveling, looting, and descending into dark places, because danger is no longer just around you, it is watching you.
