🚣 Boat Perspective
Tired of fighting with your keyboard just to navigate a winding river or drift around a tight corner? Boat Perspective completely modernizes vehicle handling in Minecraft by allowing you to steer your boat naturally using your mouse gaze!
🌟 Key Features
- Gaze Steering: Say goodbye to awkwardly hammering the
AandDkeys. Just hold downWand look where you want to go—your boat will smoothly follow your line of sight. - Analog Feel: The mod doesn't just snap your boat around. It scales your turning sharpness based on your cursor. Move your mouse slightly for gentle micro-adjustments, or look wide to make sharp, sweeping drifts.
- Built-in Stability: A fine-tuned dead-zone threshold ensures that your boat travels perfectly straight when you are looking forward, absorbing minor hand movements so your path stays steady.
- 100% Client-Side: No server installation required! Drop it into your mods folder and use it seamlessly on vanilla multiplayer servers, realms, or single-player worlds. Perfect for both casual survival exploration and daily travel.
🛡️ Server Safety & Anti-Cheat Info
⚠️ IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE
Boat Perspective is built entirely using vanilla packet structures and Fabric Mixins. It generates natural, legal movement vectors and does not modify server-side speed or vehicle physics. Because of this, it is invisible to standard automated anti-cheat plugins (like Grim or Matrix) on 95% of standard survival SMPs, realms, and vanilla servers.
However, please keep the following in mind for multiplayer use:
- Competitive Ice Racing Servers: Dedicated ice-boat racing networks often utilize specialized server-side plugins that explicitly track physical keystrokes. Because this mod allows you to turn without pressing
AorD, these specific input-logging plugins may flag the lack of keyboard activity as an unapproved automation tool. - Manual Moderation: Because mouse steering removes the rigid, microscopic "twitches" of keyboard turning, your movements will look exceptionally smooth. On highly competitive servers with strict gameplay rules, an observing administrator might notice this layout.
- Use Responsibly: We highly recommend checking your favorite server's rules regarding client-side movement/control modifications before using it in a competitive environment.
