## [1.3.1] - 2026-08-24 (latest)

A corrective release for the three 1.3.0 tools that did not hold up in use: the freeze did nothing
visible, the death history reset itself, and the tool screens were a wall of icons with no structure.

### Fixed

- **Freeze did not actually hold anyone** — the anchor sweep corrected the player with
`Entity#teleportTo`, which moves the server-side entity and never tells the client. The client kept
walking and its next movement packet simply overwrote the correction, so a frozen suspect walked
away while the server quietly put them back and lost the argument every tick. The correction now
goes out through the connection, which is what actually moves a player, and it is backed by an
infinite invisible slowness that stops the client from walking in the first place. Creative flight,
an elytra and any vehicle are taken away every tick as well, since none of them are stopped by
  slowness.
- **Freezing someone was undone by pressing alt-F4** — the freeze was cleared on disconnect, so the
answer to a screenshare was to log off and come back free. A freeze now survives a disconnect and a
server restart (persisted to `config/arcadia/arcadiaadminpanel/freezes.json`): the suspect comes
back frozen, re-anchored where the server spawned them, and is told so. Releasing therefore had to
work on someone who is not connected, so `unfreeze <name>` and the panel's release button both
  accept an offline target.
- **The death history reset itself on every restart** — a capture built its list from an empty cache
rather than from the player's file, so the first death after a reboot wrote a one-entry file over
the four snapshots already on disk. The read, the merge and the write now happen together on the
snapshot IO thread, and a capture that arrives while the file is being read for a menu no longer
  loses to it.
- **The death history looked empty for anyone who had died this session** — the menu only rendered
its content when the load callback found itself to be the player's open container. For a player
whose snapshots were already cached that callback runs inside the constructor, before the menu is
assigned, so the one render the screen would ever get was thrown away and it stayed on "Loading".
  The screen now renders unconditionally.
- **A death snapshot that could not be written was dropped in silence** — capture returned without a
word when the IO thread was not running. It logs now.
- **A death snapshot could be restored as many times as you clicked** — restoring copies the stored
stacks into a live inventory without consuming them, so a second restore handed the player a
second full set of everything they died with, and a third a third. A snapshot is now stamped with
when it was restored and by whom, the stamp is persisted with it, and the button is greyed out
afterwards. Files written before 1.3.1 read back as never restored, so nothing is lost on upgrade.
- **Homes past the twenty-seventh were unreachable** — the player sheet renders 27 home slots and
kept a `homePage` field that every read consulted and nothing ever wrote. A player with more homes
than that simply had the rest invisible, with no control to reach them. The last cell of the grid
now turns the page when one page is not enough, and it is not gated on the teleport node: homes are
visible to any panel viewer since #208, so the control that reaches the rest of them has to be too.

### Changed

- **Death snapshots are shown as an inventory, not as an array** — opening a death used to lay the
41 stored slots out in order, which put the hotbar on the top row and the helmet in the middle of
the grid. It now reads like an inventory screen: bag, hotbar underneath, then armour and off-hand.
The row you opened is named on screen with its date, cause, position, stack count and level, so it
is possible to tell one death from another once you are inside it.
- **The tool screens are grouped and labelled** — Player Tools and Staff Tools were three
undifferentiated rows of icons. Each row now carries its name in the first column: Investigate,
Intervene and Assist on the player screen, Investigate, Server and Your Toggles on the staff
  screen.
- **Tools that need a connected player are greyed out instead of disappearing** — freeze, spectate
and give item vanished entirely for an offline target, which reads as a missing feature rather than
as an unavailable one. They are now drawn greyed with the reason, and clicking one says why.
- **The death-snapshot button shows the count instead of asking you to click and find out** — it
warms the count off the tick thread and redraws when it lands.
- **The player grid explains itself** — the slot that holds "clear search" while a search is active
now holds a legend the rest of the time: what a left-click does, what a right-click does, that
filter and sort step backwards on a right-click, and what the head colours mean.
- **Player Tools has a close button**, next to the back button, and back says where it goes.
- **Staff are told when a frozen suspect disconnects and when they come back** — now that a freeze
survives a relog, the disconnect is the moment staff most need to hear about and the one they are
least likely to notice on their own.
- **The spectate button names who you are watching** — it stops whichever session is running, which
is not necessarily the player whose sheet you are looking at.

### Corrections
