Apothic Colored 1.0.1
Visual enchantment customization mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge 21.1, integrated with Apothic Enchanting 1.6.1, Placebo 9.9.2, and Apothic Progression.
Installed Palette
| Level | Color |
|---|---|
| Above original maximum up to 10 | Animated light blue |
| 11–20 | Purple |
| 21–50 | Magenta with club prefix |
| 51–70 | Gold with diamond prefix |
| 71–98 | Animated pink/violet gradient with heart prefix |
| 99–127 | Animated white/black gradient with spade prefix |
| 128+ | Animated rainbow |
All level ranges are inclusive. Level 71 belongs to the pink/violet tier, while level 99 belongs to the white/black tier, preventing overlapping ranges.
Animations change the color of the entire enchantment line over time rather than assigning different colors to individual characters. The rainbow effect pulses between 30% and 100% brightness during each transition, avoiding abrupt switches between visible and invisible states.
In version 1.0.1, suit symbols appear before the enchantment name in the order clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades. Each symbol follows its tier's color. Levels below 21 and levels 128+ do not receive suit prefixes. The existing Apothic prefix and pulsing rainbow effect for levels 128+ remain unchanged. Suit symbols use Unicode characters rendered by the game's font.
Apothic Progression Integration
Designed to work alongside Apothic Progression, supporting its extended enchantment progression up to level 127 and displaying the appropriate colors for upgraded enchantments.
The mod also handles enchantment levels beyond 127, including levels reached through Apotheosis bonuses, applying the animated rainbow tier with pulsing brightness at level 128 and above.
By default, enchantments at or below their original maximum level retain their existing appearance, as do curses. For example, Sharpness V keeps its original appearance, while Sharpness VI receives the light-blue tier. Single-level enchantments are not artificially upgraded. Apotheosis bonuses that exceed level 127 receive the rainbow effect.
Configuration
Configuration file: config/apothic-colored-client.json
enabled: Enables or disables visual customization. Default:1.tiers: Defines contiguous level ranges in ascending order, using inclusiveminLevelandmaxLevelvalues and one to eight#RRGGBBcolors per tier.pulse: Optional per-tier setting for pulsing gradient brightness, used by the rainbow tier.prefix: Optional symbol displayed before the enchantment name, applied only to levels 21–127. If omitted, no prefix is applied, maintaining compatibility with version 1.0.0 configurations.
Performance and Compatibility
The configuration is loaded once, and colors are reused without reading files or rebuilding gradients every frame.
Invalid configurations generate a warning in the log and fall back to the default palette without overwriting the user's configuration. If the configuration file does not exist, the mod generates the default settings.
Restart Minecraft after editing the configuration file.
