What's new

Ancient Warfare 2: M&B 1.1.1

Changes from 1.1.0

Kingdoms

  • Your kingdom's soldiers look like its culture: your soldiers take the skins of the culture's soldiers or archers, and change at once when you change the culture. A skin you chose yourself is kept.
    • Recruits, reinforcements and trained veterans get the culture's weapons and armour (its elite gear from tier 2).
    • Reinforcements come as soldiers and archers, 3 to 2.
  • Manpower grows with new soldiers, in every city of your kingdom: each new fighting soldier you place with its item inside one of your cities adds 2 to that city's maximum manpower and 2 to its manpower, and raises by one the garrison its free reinforcements bring back.
    • Before, only the capital grew, by counting the soldiers inside it, so moving soldiers between cities raised it again and again.
    • Moving soldiers, soldiers packed back into an item, recruits and reinforcements add nothing.
  • All your soldiers inside a city count for its garrison: recruits and crafted soldiers count, not only reinforcements, so reinforcements stop once the city holds enough soldiers. Soldiers walked into the city no longer raise the number of free reinforcements.
  • /awsettlement info shows your soldiers in the garrison count.
  • Clearer texts for training at the Governor: the level and coins each tier needs, and how many coins you have.

Commanding your soldiers (command baton)

  • The baton keeps the original Ancient Warfare key: sneak + scroll chooses the order, Z gives it.
  • New order: Patrol. Your soldiers walk around the block you look at (12 blocks around), stop for a few seconds at each point, fight what they meet and go back to the area.
  • Attack on someone your soldiers are not hostile to (your Governor, a friend) becomes Guard.
  • Any order except Follow Me and Retreat makes your soldiers stop following you, and soldiers sent somewhere stay there.
  • The soldiers of the group glow for 2 seconds when you select them or give an order.

Fixes

  • The alternate-use keys of Ancient Warfare items now also work while sneaking.

For testers

  • Command baton orders and kingdom reinforcements write a line in the log.
