Amecs: Alt-Meta-Escape-Control-Shift
Amecs is a mod that tries to improve your keyboard immersion. Therefore it introduces several modifier keys (alt, control and shift) for now to give you a larger variety to chose from when making keybindings.
Amecs also removes that annoying key blocking where only one functionality can be associated with a key.
Disclaimer: Duplicate entries will still turn red to let you know of possibly unwanted collisions.
And there's yet another feature: Amecs introduces a search bar for your controls screen! No more searching for that one nasty keybinding in a giant list.
And last but not least it adds keybindings for toggling auto jump as well as each of the skin layers.
welp
I'm having a problem with "1.3.8+" in 1.19.
I can't view/change the keybindings of the shift+, alt+ and ctrl+
In reply to ahmenassr8:
Same here.
Can't set any keybinds with modifiers.
In reply to staviq:
Having the same problem on 1.18.2 but haven’t checked the mod pack configs yet to see if it’s a setting.

An nvm: https://github.com/Siphalor/amecs/issues/58
does it work for 1.19.2 ?
Yep, CurseForge requires me to manually mark my mods as compatible though, which I hadn't really found time to do so yet.
In reply to Siphalor:
thanks !
When trying to use Mouse Wheelie to sort a chest I crash, mod not enough crashes says potential causes are: Amecs API, (fps reducer when enabled) & Mouse Wheelie. After disabling or uninstalling Amecs it still had the same crash, after looking for the amecs api i found that it kept recreating itself in the .fabric -> processedMods folder
Heres link to crash report: https://bytebin.lucko.me/0CAlIbpa0W
Hi, can you make the mod compatible with controlling please? When I put your mod with controlling, I can't add shift + key or others...
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/controlling
In reply to Maxtar:
You shouldn't need controlling as this mod has it's own search bar
cant shift place blocks
Big dumb. Ignore this....
or... DIE!!!

Normally I wouldn't come to you with an error after installing another mod, but here's the thing. I never installed YOUR mod either. I don't know where your mod is coming from. I don't know why it is erroring out. I never installed your mod, I can't find it in my mods folder, but there it is throwing an error. I'm lost.
Update: Evidently backslots includes amecsapi but doesn't show up as a dependent when I look through this mod. Backslot was what was adding your mod, somehow... and updating backslot fixed my error.
I think this mod somehow disabled my hotbar's scrollwheel functionality.
Edit: It's definitely this mod, why does it disable that? Is that intended?...
In reply to Goobert_Froobert:
I don't think it's intended. It didn't do this in previous versions. But I've already submitted a bug report to the gethub page so they should already be aware. I don't know for sure, but I assume they are currently working on a full release.
In reply to Goobert_Froobert:
Also, I just found a weird workaround. Download the mod: "Don't Drop It". It has Amecs 'imbeded" into the mod, and for whatever reason, the Amecs files in that mod override the scrollwheel not working. So if you have Amecs and Don't Drop It it should work normally. And don't drop it is only like a client side mod that can even be turned off completely.
In reply to ethan_the_lolboy:
Huh, I'll give it a try right now. Thanks for the input, might be what I need.
Edit: Wow, yeah that actually works. Weird, thanks man!
In reply to ethan_the_lolboy:
Thank you for the fix! Confirmed that it works.
In reply to Goobert_Froobert:
I'm having the same problem as yours' I hope it will be fixed
