📄Gist:
Aloof is a small mod focused on adding very small, inconsequential features to Minecraft in the form of new Sniffer plants!
Currently in the process of porting features from the old version of the mod, that being this.
📖Breakdown:
This mod currently adds a couple of Sniffer plants!
One of these new plants is the Loofah. This new crop is planted on moss, and requires two blocks of space to grow. When fully grown, it will become the Loofah Gourd, a two-tall block that is very, brightly green and striped. This gourd can then be stripped with an axe (or any item that can strip wood) to turn it into the Loofah Sponge, which functions like a weaker sponge!
The next new plant is Silphium a plant that grows like a conventional crop (ie. it can be placed on farmland) but it grows to be incredibly tall! When fully grown, its large yellow bloom produces beautiful aesthetic particles. The bloom can be harvested by breaking it, or by interacting with it with shears. The bloom can the be used to make a Healing Salve, a tool that can heal yourself or whatever you interact with, and the Healing Bomb, a TNT variant that heals in its explosion radius instead of damaging.
Along with new Sniffer plants, this mod also adds some features to the existing ones.
Pitcher Plant crops, when harvested while they are fully grown, will drop a Pitcher Root. Pitcher Roots are a placeable food item (akin to cake) that gives Resistance when eaten. It can also be made into a storage block.
Torch Flowers can now be lit to produce light and flame particles.
