Alex's Mobs Continued 2.1.9 — Fabric 26.1.x
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
2.1.9
- Alex's Mobs Continued and Rats (or anything else that needs Citadel) can be installed together again. This mod carries its own private copy of Citadel, and one small piece of it was competing with the real Citadel over the same hook — the game keeps one and refuses the other, and whichever one loses takes the launch down with it. Rewritten so both can run side by side.
- Skreechers could never spawn. Their spawn rule required them to be in a deep-dark-style biome
and, at the same time, not in one, so there was nowhere in any world that satisfied it. This has
been true since 2.0.0 on every version except Forge 1.20.1. Fixed — and the fix also repairs the
broken rule inside
config/alexsmobs/skreecher.jsonon existing installs, since that file is kept when you make a new world. - Underminers no longer get stuck in the ceilings of mineshafts. They were measuring their height above the floor from the top of their own body, so once one drifted up into a ceiling it read the situation backwards and pushed itself further in instead of dropping out.
- Forge 1.21.2 through 1.21.9: several riding fixes were quietly doing nothing. Crimson mosquitoes latching on, enderiophages, and the shoulder-riders (crow, capuchin, potoo, sugar glider, bald eagle) all depend on a fix from 2.1.1 that turned out not to be active on those specific Forge builds. It is now.
- Added
alexsmobs:thimeandalexsmobs:dazeas aliases for the two music discs' songs, in case you are coming from another Alex's Mobs port that named them without themusic_disc_prefix and hit a "Missing element" error joining a server.
A note on spawning, since several reports came in about it: orcas, murmurs and rocky rollers are
rare on purpose, not broken. Orcas only spawn in frozen and cold oceans and additionally only
pass a 1-in-6 roll. Murmurs need to be below Y −30 and out of sight of the sky. Rocky rollers
only spawn in dripstone caves in vanilla worlds. Mimic octopuses, hammerhead sharks and mantis
shrimp want warm ocean, not any reef-looking water. Desert spawning was measured on NeoForge
1.21.1 and is working — roadrunners actually turn up more often than vanilla rabbits do. If a mob is
still missing for you, the fastest fix is to raise its weight: /amc config set orcaSpawnWeight 20,
or find it under /amc menu.
Needs CodxLib 1.5.1 or newer on Fabric, 1.4.0 or newer on Forge and NeoForge. Fabric also needs Fabric API.
