The AFSU Mod is intended to extend IndustrialCraft 2's energy storage by a tier, into tier 5. It adds one block and one item:
- The AFSU. This is an upgrade of IndustrialCraft 2's MFSU, and can store 1 billion EU.
- The AFB. This is an upgrade of IndustrialCraft 2's Lapotron Crystal, and can store 100 million EU.
More information (including credits) can be found on its forum post or wiki page. The texture of the AFSU (and potentially the AFB) can be changed if desired in the configuration file to any of the listed textures.
A lot of people asked me to recover several technical mods so in next EC 1.12.2 update (in 3-5 days) will be both items from this mod. If nobody minds.
In reply to Zuxelus:
Does that make sense in that mod though?
In reply to xbony2:
I think yes. Community wants to have one more tier and it is quite easy to add it. Not only new storage but also new cables, chargepad etc.
In reply to Zuxelus:
Well it's completely up to you, the mod is open sourced and you can see that I'm not doing much with it right now. I just think it's a strange fit with Nuclear Control/Energy Control, since those mods are mainly for monitoring the world rather than adding a new tier to IC2. If you think it's fine I don't mind at all, as long as credit is given where it's due I suppose.
В ответ на xbony2 :
I believe that if the mod is not called Energy Control 3, then it is not so attached to nuclear power. On the contrary, now the mod is called Energy Control, and everything related to energy will somehow fit into the theme of the mod. Therefore, it will be appropriate to add all the missing things and blocks for IC2, which are not implemented now. This will fit well into the theme of the mod and the community will appreciate it.
In reply to hristy1:
Well, it's not been about nuclear for a while now, but it's still mainly been about monitoring different things, not just about energy. So I don't think it fits with the theme. As a comparison, GregTech adds a lot of energy-related items and blocks, but it wouldn't make sense to add those to Nuclear Control/World Control/Energy Control. The community would indeed probably appreciate having access to the AFSU/AFB (I hope they do) but I think it would be better appreciated as a separate mod. But, if Zuxelus wants to include it, he certainly can ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In reply to Zuxelus:
still waiting your update this mod)
In reply to God_major:
It is already done. You can download EnergyControl-1.12.2-0.1.2.jar and find AFSU and AFB there.
1.12.2 VERSION NEED !!! Please create to 1.12.2 !!!
With regards.
In reply to GOODBESTWIZARD:
Not likely...
In reply to xbony2:
But why not? It’s awesome! You would download a lot of your mod! Including streamers would start using it! It’s hard for you to repack the mod for version 1.12.2, it’s not for long. Sincerely.
In reply to GOODBESTWIZARD:
Quite possibly. Porting this mod to from 1.7 to 1.12 would probably be too hard. More likely I would rewrite it from scratch. It wouldn't be crazy difficult but it would take more than a weekend, especially since I've been out of actively modding for quite a while... currently I am super busy with school and I have other higher priority items to work on. I'm certainly not against the mod being updated but I don't have the time. If anyone wants to port it for me I would be happy to share a portion of the Curse Points.
In reply to xbony2:
Oh, so great! It is NECESSARY to WRITE in the description of the mod - add - I'm waiting for someone who will help with the recompilation. The artist himself is a designer, and I can draw VERY beautiful textures for the mod if I just need to. In addition, I stream minecraft and your mod would really go on streams - it will help because inustrialcraf 2 is actively used. So if it's not difficult, you can do it for version 1.12.2. If the question is in finances - can we discuss by discord or skype or email or something else?
In reply to GOODBESTWIZARD:
It's not finances, it's time and interest and perhaps skills (I haven't done a lot of modding recently). I'm in the middle of my finals right now. So I definitely have other things to focus on. Once the semester is over I can try to port/rewrite AFSU and some other mods to newer versions, yes, but we'll see.
In reply to xbony2:
Do you even read comments about your mod or not?
MANY, a lot of people are waiting for your mod for version 1.12.2, is it difficult for you to recompile the code, or don’t you know how? What are the difficulties associated with? Almost ALL mods now have several versions supported, and the second one does not support the MOST currently distributed version - 1.12.2.
Therefore, PLEASE compile and for version 1.12.2
Sincerely.
In reply to GOODBESTWIZARD:
It's not a matter of simply recompiling the code. Much will need to be fixed since much has changed version to version. And yeah it's partly that I'm not as familiar with Minecraft's architecture for 1.12. And yeah I see all the requests. I would love to have the mod updated but I can't do it with a snap of the fingers, instead I need a free week or so.
In reply to xbony2:
if you want, I let you take the code from super solar panels (the code of my repositories)
In reply to denfop:
Feel free to put it on GitHub
c'mon, bro! WE STILL WAITING 1.12.2 VERSION!!!
