Description
Aeronautics: TouchDown
A mod that adds realistic aviation callouts to Create: Aeronautics aircraft. Radio altimeter, GPWS, takeoff, approach, landing, and stall warnings — all based on how your aircraft is actually flying, not a fixed timer running in the background.
Features
Radio altimeter callouts:
2500, 1000, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, RETARD
GPWS warnings:
SINK RATE, PULL UP, TERRAIN, TOO LOW TERRAIN, TOO LOW GEAR, TOO LOW FLAPS, DON'T SINK, GLIDESLOPE, BANK ANGLE, WINDSHEAR, OVERSPEED, STALL
Takeoff callouts:
80 KNOTS, V1, ROTATE, POSITIVE CLIMB, CLIMB
Flight phase detection
The mod tracks what phase of flight you're actually in:
GROUND → TAKEOFF → CLIMB → CRUISE → APPROACH → LANDING → TOUCH DOWN
It also monitors stall risk throughout the flight.
Terrain awareness
Height above terrain, altitude, velocity, and climb/sink rate are used to determine when you're actually in danger, so TERRAIN, PULL UP, and SINK RATE trigger based on real flight conditions instead of randomly.
Audio priority
Warnings are prioritized so multiple sounds don't overlap into a mess. Higher-priority warnings such as PULL UP can interrupt lower-priority callouts, while altitude callouts have cooldowns to prevent repeated playback.
Config options
-
Master and per-category volume
-
Warning thresholds — sink rate, bank angle, overspeed, stall speed, etc.
-
Cooldowns between callouts
-
Enable/disable individual warnings
-
Custom
.oggsound support
Built for Create: Aeronautics
Uses actual aircraft velocity, altitude, attitude, terrain height, and flight state rather than treating the aircraft like a normal Minecraft player. Warnings dynamically respond to how the aircraft is actually flying.
Multiplayer
Designed for multiplayer use with Create: Aeronautics. The mod must be installed on the required sides for the system to function correctly.
Minecraft: 1.21.1
Loader: NeoForge
Compatibility: Create: Aeronautics
