Description
AE2 Desktop Notifications
AE2 Desktop Notifications forwards Applied Energistics 2 crafting-completion toasts to your operating system while leaving the original in-game toasts unchanged.
Looking for vanilla advancement, recipe, tutorial, and system notifications? Install Desktop Notifications:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/desktop-notifications
The two mods are completely independent and may be installed separately or together.
Why use it?
Large AE2 crafting jobs can finish while Minecraft is minimized, covered by another application, or running on a second monitor. This mod helps you notice the completion immediately without repeatedly switching back to the game.
Configuration
The client config is created at config/ae2desktopnotifications-client.toml. AE2 crafting-completion forwarding is enabled by default.
Operating-system setup
Windows 10/11:
Keep the built-in Windows PowerShell 5.1 installed and available. In Settings > System > Notifications, enable notifications globally and for Windows PowerShell. Turn off Do Not Disturb or allow Windows PowerShell through its priority settings. No extra PowerShell module is required.
Linux:
Minecraft must run in a graphical desktop session with Java AWT system-tray support. Enable desktop notifications and a system tray or AppIndicator-compatible tray, and disable Do Not Disturb. Unsupported setups are reported in logs/latest.log.
macOS:
Open System Settings > Notifications, allow the Java or Minecraft process if listed, select a visible alert style, and ensure Focus is not suppressing it. Java system-tray popup support is platform-dependent, so some macOS setups may not display messages.
Support
Minecraft 1.21.1
NeoForge 21.1.247+
Applied Energistics 2 19.x
Client-side only
