Crafting Scheduler
Crafting Scheduler is an Applied Energistics 2 addon that adds job scheduling for Crafting CPUs.
It allows selected Crafting CPUs to temporarily pause their current job so another craft can use the CPU. After that craft finishes, the original job is restored and continues from its previous state.
Only CPUs explicitly assigned to the Scheduler can be managed.
Features
- Pause and resume AE2 crafting jobs
- Temporarily free busy Crafting CPUs for other requests
- Preserve crafting progress and intermediate job state
- Continue collecting results from processing machines while a job is paused
- Select exactly which Crafting CPUs the Scheduler is allowed to manage
- View CPU status, active jobs and progress from one interface
- Manually release managed CPUs
- Cancel the current express craft and immediately restore the paused job
- Redstone control
- Automatic recovery for interrupted or orphaned paused jobs
- Persistent paused jobs across chunk unloads and server restarts
- Detection of Crafting CPUs that cannot be safely paused
Job priority
The Scheduler can automatically prioritize smaller crafting requests when all managed CPUs are occupied.
Automated requests use limits to prevent small machine requests from constantly interrupting other jobs. Player-started crafts can be handled separately from automated requests.
Automatic scheduling can be disabled if only manual CPU management is needed.
Recovery and safety
Paused jobs are stored with the Crafting CPU rather than depending entirely on the Scheduler block.
If the Scheduler loses power, is disabled by redstone, becomes disconnected from the network or is removed, affected jobs are restored when possible.
If a Scheduler disappears while holding a paused job, the CPU can recover from the orphaned state automatically.
Express crafts also have a timeout so a blocked request cannot leave the original job paused indefinitely.
Unsupported CPUs are left untouched instead of being forcefully managed.
Controls
Manage CPU / Release CPU Adds or removes a Crafting CPU from Scheduler management.
Cancel Express Cancels the temporary craft and restores the previously paused job.
Redstone Control Controls whether the Scheduler operates depending on the current redstone signal.
The interface also displays the current state, active job and progress of each available Crafting CPU.
