Ad Astra: Adapted is an unofficial adaptation of Ad Astra for Minecraft 26.2 on NeoForge, maintained by BugsGify and based on Ad Astra 1.16.24.

The original mod was created by AlexNijjar, Terrarium Earth, and contributors. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original authors.

Explore beyond Earth

• Visit the Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Glacio.
• Build and launch four tiers of rockets.
• Explore planetary terrain in a rover.
• Use space suits and oxygen systems to survive hostile environments.
• Generate energy, refine fuel, and operate processing machines.
• Build planetary outposts and space stations.
• Follow the progression with the adapted Astrodux guidebook.

Important: original resources required

This public edition does not bundle the original Ad Astra artwork, models, sounds, translations, or guidebook content. It loads these resources locally from a supported, unmodified official Ad Astra JAR.

Installing this adaptation alone is not enough for complete visuals and sounds.

Resources are not downloaded automatically.

Installation

1. Install Minecraft 26.2 with NeoForge 26.2.0.75 or a compatible newer 26.2 build.
2. Install Resourceful Lib 5.0.3 and Resourceful Config 5.0.0, or compatible newer versions for Minecraft 26.2.
3. Place the Ad Astra: Adapted public-external-assets JAR in your mods folder.
4. Obtain the official Ad Astra 1.16.24 for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge or Fabric edition, from the original project.
5. Place that official JAR in config/ad-astra-adapted/external-assets/ inside your Minecraft instance.
6. Restart Minecraft.

Do not place the official Minecraft 1.21.1 Ad Astra JAR in mods. It is used only as a resource source; its mod code is not executed.

The adaptation verifies the original archive. Other Ad Astra versions or modified archives are not interchangeable with the supported files.

Spawn egg textures

Original spawn egg textures also require the official Minecraft 1.21.1 client JAR.

With Prism Launcher, it is detected automatically in the shared library when Minecraft 1.21.1 is installed.

If it is not detected, you can place your official Minecraft 1.21.1 client JAR in config/ad-astra-adapted/external-assets/.

Do not place the Minecraft client JAR in mods.

Use versions compatible with Minecraft 26.2 and NeoForge.

Already included

Common Storage Lib 0.0.10-adapted-0.006 is embedded through NeoForge Jar-in-Jar.

You do not need to install a separate Common Storage Lib JAR on either the client or server.

Optional integration

• REI — recipe integration is available.
• Patchouli is not required for the adapted Astrodux reader.

Multiplayer

Install Ad Astra: Adapted, Resourceful Lib, and Resourceful Config on both the client and server.

External artwork and the Minecraft 1.21.1 client JAR are needed only on clients. Dedicated servers do not require these client resources.

Development status

This is an unofficial adaptation under active testing. Bugs, compatibility issues, and differences from the original may remain.

The Astrodux guidebook uses an adapted standalone reader rather than the original Patchouli interface.

Back up your worlds before updating.
