What's new

TamaCrafti Data Pack v2.4.18

Changelog — v2.4.10 → v2.4.18

Dedicated TamaCrafti Interface

  • Migrated the TamaCrafti care interface away from functioning as a persistent global overlay.
  • Added a dedicated, non-pausing DAI data-screen host for the TamaCrafti interface.
  • Preserved the existing layered TamaCrafti menu composition, including:
    • Animated pet sprites
    • Room artwork
    • Speech bubbles
    • Hunger / Happiness / Cleanliness / Energy / Health meters
    • Trust and Growth displays
    • Mood-dependent visuals
    • Feed / Play / Clean / Sleep / Stats interfaces
    • Popups
    • Conditional unlocks
    • Existing invisible HD click regions
  • Added a TamaCrafti-styled screen bridge so the minimal underlying DAI screen does not visually interfere with the custom interface.
  • Added proper screen lifecycle cleanup so TamaCrafti UI elements no longer remain over unrelated Minecraft screens.

Custom TamaCrafti Keybind

  • Replaced Grave/backtick as the primary TamaCrafti menu control.
  • Added a dedicated Open / Close TamaCrafti keybind.
  • Default key is V.
  • The TamaCrafti control can be rebound normally through Minecraft's vanilla Controls > Key Binds menu.
  • Added a dedicated TamaCrafti keybind category.
  • Grave/backtick is intercepted during the TamaCrafti Journey so it does not reopen the default DAI menu.
  • Improved cursor ownership and mouse-state restoration after custom UI interaction.

Menu Performance

  • Significantly reduced TamaCrafti menu opening latency.
  • Replaced dozens of individual pre-open overlay cleanup operations with a single atomic overlay_clear.
  • The dedicated host screen now opens immediately instead of waiting behind the old cleanup sequence.
  • Reordered UI construction so the interactive menu begins drawing before the heavier dynamic pet/status composition.
  • Reduced unnecessary delays between menu construction stages.
  • Simplified menu closing to:
    • Clear TamaCrafti overlays
    • Close the active TamaCrafti screen
  • Reworked the V-key behavior into a direct menu toggle rather than separate competing open/close paths.
  • Added a raw-V fallback for the default key while the dedicated screen owns keyboard input.

Menu Navigation

  • Added proper submenu navigation throughout the TamaCrafti interface.
  • Feed, Play, Clean, Sleep, and Stats now include a working MAIN MENU return control.
  • Returning to the main care menu now cleans up submenu-specific controls correctly.
  • Existing care actions and conditional choices remain intact.

Home Creation Loading Sequence

  • Added a dedicated animated loading presentation while the TamaCrafti starter home is being constructed.
  • The normal care menu is prevented from opening prematurely while the home is incomplete.
  • The loading sequence remains active until the home-complete state is reached.
  • TamaCrafti automatically transitions from the construction presentation into the normal care interface once building finishes.
  • Existing saves with incomplete or interrupted home construction can resume the build sequence.

Home Construction Performance

  • Increased the original starter-home construction speed by approximately 4×.
  • Home construction now processes multiple construction steps during each build pulse.
  • Preserved the faster construction rate while fixing a possible final-step stall.
  • Every burst sub-step now verifies that construction is still active before continuing.
  • Construction stops immediately once the final block/build stage completes.
  • Made the home-completion routine idempotent so it cannot execute repeatedly during the same build burst.
  • Normalized completed construction state to the final expected build step.
  • Added recovery handling for missing, invalid, or stalled construction counters.

New TamaCrafti Pet Presentation

  • Expanded the construction animation into a four-pet TamaCrafti showcase:
    • Blocky — the original grassy block companion
    • Draeo — a blocky drake / dragon / wyvern companion
    • Taiga — a miniature tiger/feline companion with lion-like styling
    • Steve — a TamaCrafti-styled Minecraft Steve companion
  • Updated loader logic to support all four animated sprite sheets.
  • Added proper cleanup for all pet animation layers when construction finishes.

Blocky Refresh

  • Replaced the older construction-scene Blocky sprite with a newly recreated high-detail version.
  • Blocky's recognizable grassy block-monster identity is preserved while matching the visual quality of the newer pets.

Draeo Refresh

  • Updated Draeo from the original green concept to a distinct pastel-crimson color palette.
  • Preserved the cute blocky drake/wyvern design and animated presentation.

Vanilla Notification Suppression

  • Reduced vanilla UI interference during TamaCrafti world creation and gameplay.
  • Added continuous suppression of recipe unlock progression notifications during the TamaCrafti Journey.
  • Recipe unlocks are stripped after initial setup, starter equipment grants, resume, and normal gameplay ticks.
  • Added suppression for Minecraft tutorial prompts such as:
    • Move with WASD
    • Look Around
    • Find/Punch a Tree
    • Inventory/Crafting tutorials
  • Suppressed the vanilla "Isn't It Iron Pick" advancement toast triggered by the TamaCrafti starter pickaxe while retaining its normal criteria/progression.
  • Removed the extra challenge-toast completion sound previously used when the TamaCrafti home finished building.
  • Reduced large vanilla/title-style overlays during first-join startup so the custom TamaCrafti presentation remains readable.

Journey Startup & Resume

  • Updated first-join messaging for the new custom V-key interface.
  • Updated resume behavior for worlds whose home is still being constructed.
  • Incomplete homes now return to the animated build presentation rather than prematurely opening the care UI.
  • Completed homes resume directly into the normal TamaCrafti experience.
  • Existing pet state, progression, care systems, inventory rewards, and Journey state remain preserved.

Compatibility

  • Updated for the current DAI Engine 3.8 TamaCrafti experience architecture.
  • No existing TamaCrafti care mechanic, progression system, world logic, pet-state system, or reward system was intentionally removed.

This is the final update conducted by J12H36H, from now on all updates will be conducted fully through the new management.
