TaCZ Arena Loop (Datapack) is a round-based PvP arena framework for Minecraft Java 1.20.1, built specifically for a custom TaCZ-focused arena world (currently under construction).
This datapack is designed for Forge 1.20.1 setups running Timeless & Classics Zero (TaCZ) and a small set of recommended companion mods. It’s not a generic “drop into any world” datapack: the logic uses pre-defined arena/lobby coordinates tailored to the official map world I’m building. (The world save will be uploaded later once it’s ready.)
What it does:
- Automated match loop with no /join commands.
- Lobby step-on pads: stand on physical Red/Blue zones to pick your team.
- Auto-start: the match begins when both teams have players, with a short countdown.
- Supports team formats from 1v1 up to 4v4 (same core loop).
- Round-based scoring: deaths end the round cleanly.
- On death, the player is switched to Spectator and returned to the lobby so they can re-queue.
- The winner gets a quick celebration moment before the next round.
- Match rules: first team/player to 5 round wins takes the match.
- “MATCH POINT” is announced at 4 wins.
- If it reaches 4–4, the next round is the final decider.
TaCZ kill feed support:
- Reads the killer’s SelectedItem.tag.GunId and prints a proper weapon display name using a built-in mapping table (so it doesn’t spam raw IDs).
Notes:
- Not affiliated with or endorsed by TaCZ — this is a compatibility project.
- The included coordinate placeholders are meant to be edited if you adapt this to a different map.
Recommended multiplayer method:
- Works great with e4mc for quick “play with friends” hosting (default port 25565) using a share link.
