Stone Drops Ores

Get a chance to find extra metal resources while mining stone and deepslate. Normal block drops are preserved.

Stone Drops Ores only adds iron nuggets, gold nuggets, raw iron, raw copper, and raw gold as bonus drops. It does not add bonus diamonds, redstone, lapis lazuli, or any other resources.

Drop Chances

Each bonus drop is rolled independently, so a single block can drop multiple types of bonus resources.

Fortune and Silk Touch

Bonus drops require a pickaxe. Any vanilla pickaxe works, including wooden and golden pickaxes.

Fortune increases the amount received from each successful bonus roll using Minecraft’s standard ore drop formula:

Fortune does not change the drop chances. Higher amounts are possible, but not guaranteed.

Mining with Silk Touch does not produce bonus drops.

Installation

1. Download the ZIP file.

2. Place it in your world’s datapacks folder without extracting it.

3. Reload the world or run /reload.

4. Use /datapack list enabled to check that the data pack is active.

When updating, remove the previous ZIP and replace it with the new version.

Compatibility and Notes

• Supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1–1.21.4.

• Works in singleplayer and on Java servers.

• On servers, install the data pack in the server world’s datapacks folder. Players do not need to install anything.

• Existing ore blocks and their drops are unchanged.

• No additional experience points are awarded.

• Player-placed stone and deepslate can also produce bonus drops.

• Other data packs that replace the stone or deepslate loot tables may conflict with this pack.
