Since you do have an acid that is known to soften ores, why not use it en masse?

 

This datapack adds recipes to IE's Bottling Machine and IP's Coker to turn Your freshly dug ore blocks into raw ores for even more efficient processing.

 

Rates are:

For the Bottling Machine:

ore + 10 mb of Redstone Acid -> 2 x raw ore

For the Coker:

4 x ore + 125 mb Redstone Acid -> raw ore block + 100 mb Redstone Acid back

(Please ignore the lore implications of melting ore in a bitumen coker)
