Description

This is Polanoia's Revised Loot and Recipes Data Pack!

 

The goals of this pack are to:

1) Encourage exploration regardless of the age of a server or world,

2) Make some of the more repetitive actions in Minecraft more exciting, and

3) Provide a Data Pack that can be used in lots of different worlds, from Peaceful Difficulty to SkyBlock

 

Changes in this data pack include:

 

New Feature: Pocket Chests:
-Very rarely, certain mobs will drop a Pocket Chest.
-These are chest items, but will say how they were obtained in there item description (lore).
-When placed and opened, they become ordinary chests, but contain loot from a custom loot table corresponding to the mob killed.
-The list of mobs that drop Pocket Chests includes mostly human-like mobs:

-Drowned
-Endermen
-Evokers
-Husks
-Pillagers
-Skeletons
-Slimes
-Strays
-Vindicators
-Witches
-Zombies
-Zombie Villagers

-The chance of a pocket chest dropping is increased by each level of Looting.
-Hoglins also drop loot chests, but these are not Pocket Chests/Custom Loot Tables, nor are the affected by Looting.

 

 

Block Loot Changes:

-Acacia Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Andesite rarely drops Raw Iron when mined with Fortune.
-Azalea Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Basalt sometimes drops Raw Iron when mined with Fortune.
-Birch Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Blackstone very rarely drops Ancient Debris when mined with Fortune.

-Cherry Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased to compensate.
-Coal Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Copper Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Dark Oak Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling apple, and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Deepslate Coal Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Copper Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Diamond Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Emerald Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Gold Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Iron Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Lapis Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate Redstone Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Deepslate now has chances to drop Diamond, Raw Gold, Redstone, and Lapis when mined with Fortune.
-Diamond Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Diorite rarely drops either Raw Iron or Quartz when mined with Fortune.
-Emerald Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Flowering Azalea Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Gilded Blackstone will always drop itself unless mined with a Fortune pickaxe.
-Granite rarely drops Quartz when mined with Fortune.
-Grass is no longer affected by Fortune, and now rarely drops Beetroot, Pumpkin, and Melons Seeds. Melon Seeds can only drop in Jungle and Savannah biomes.
-Iron Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Jungle Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Lapis Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Mangrove Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Melons will always drop at least 4 slices, instead of 3.
-Nether Gold Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Nether Quartz Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Netherrack sometimes drops a gold nugget when mined with Fortune.
-Oak Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling apple, and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Red Sand sometimes drops a gold nugget when mined with Fortune.
-Redstone Ore is no longer affected by Fortune.
-Sand sometimes drops bone meal when mined with Fortune.
-Spruce Leaves are no longer affected by Fortune, sapling and stick drop rates have been increased slightly to compensate.
-Stone now has chances to drop Raw Iron, Raw Copper, Coal, and Lapis when mined with Fortune.
-Stone also has a chance to drop Emerald when mined in Mountain biomes.

 

Entity Loot Changes:

-Blazes no longer give additional blaze rods with Looting.
-Cave Spiders no longer give additional string or spider eyes with Looting.
-Cave Spiders have a chance to drop cobwebs with Looting.
-Cave Spiders drop string and spider eyes more frequently, in slightly larger quantities than before.
-Chickens no longer give additional raw/cooked chicken with Looting.
-Chickens are guaranteed to drop at least 1 feather, and can drop up to 3.
-Chickens have a chance to drop bone meal with Looting.
-Cows no longer give additional leather or raw/cooked beef with Looting.
-Cows have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Cows are guaranteed to drop at least 1 leather, and can drop up to 2.
-Creepers no longer drop additional gunpowder with Looting.
-Creepers are guaranteed to drop at least 1 gunpowder, and can drop up to 3.
-Creepers will drop the music disc Pigstep if killed by a Piglin.
-Creepers will drop the music disc Otherside if killed by a Shulker.
-Dolphins no longer drop additional raw/cooked cod with Looting.
-Dolphins have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Donkeys are guaranteed to drop at least 1 leather, and can drop up to 3.
-Donkeys have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Drowned no longer drop additional rotten flesh or copper ingots with Looting.
-Drowned are guaranteed to drop at least 1 rotten flesh, and can drop up to 3.
-Drowned now have a chance to drop Gold Nuggets with Looting.
-Elder Guardians no longer drop additional Prismarine Shards or Crystals with Looting.
-Elder Guardians are now guaranteed to drop a random Minecraft/LootTables/Gameplay/Fishing/Fish category item if killed by a player.
-Elder Guardians now drop a random Minecraft/LootTables/Gameplay/Fishing/Treasure category item if killed by a player.
-Ender Dragons now drop a Dragon Head when killed.
-Endermen no longer drop additional Ender Pearls when killed with Looting.
-Endermen now have a chance to drop Bones when killed with Looting.
-Endermites now have a chance to drop an Ender Pearl.
-Evokers now have a chance to drop Lapis Lazuli when killed with Looting.
-Evokers now drop an Enchanted Book when killed by a player.
-Foxes now have a chance to drop bone meal when killed by a player.
-Frogs now have a chance to drop bone meal when killed by a player.
-Ghasts no longer drop additional tears or gunpowder with Looting.
-Ghasts are guaranteed to drop at least 1 gunpowder, and can drop up to 3.
-Glow Squids no longer drop additional glow sacs with Looting.
-Goats now have a chance to drop Bone when killed by a player.
-Guardians no longer have additional drops with Looting.
-Hoglins no longer drop additional porkchop with Looting.
-Hoglins now have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Hoglins have a 6 in 200 chance to drop 1 of 6 Nether Loot Chests (from Bastions, Fortresses, and Ruined Portals).

-Hoglins now have a rare chance to drop a Piglin Head.
-Horses are guaranteed to drop at least 1 leather, and can drop up to 3.
-Horses have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Husks are guaranteed to drop at least 1 rotten flesh, and can drop up to 3.
-Husks: Replaced Iron Ingot chance with Gold Ingot chance.
-Llamas are guaranteed to drop at least 2 leather, and can drop up to 4.
-Llamas have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Magma Cubes no longer drop more Magma Cream with Looting.
-Magma Cubes are more likely to drop Magma Cream.
-Mooshrooms no longer give additional leather or raw/cooked beef with Looting.
-Mooshrooms have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Mooshrooms are guaranteed to drop at least 1 leather, and can drop up to 2.
-Mules are guaranteed to drop at least 1 leather, and can drop up to 3.
-Mules have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Parrots no longer drop additional feathers with Looting.
-Phantoms no longer drop additional membranes with Looting.
-Pigs no longer give additional raw/cooked porkchop with Looting.
-Pigs have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Pillagers are more likely to drop arrows.
-Pillagers have a chance to drop emeralds with Looting.
-Polar Bears no longer drop additional fish with Looting.
-Polar Bears have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Rabbits no longer give additional hide with Looting.
-Rabbits are twice more likely to drop a Rabbit Foot.
-Rabbits have a chance to drop bone meal with Looting.
-Ravagers have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Sheep no longer give additional raw/cooked mutton with Looting.
-Sheep have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Shulkers now always drop a single shell, unaffected by Looting.
-Skeletons give more arrows and bones, but are not affected by Looting anymore.
-Skeleton Horses give more bones, but are not affected by Looting anymore.
-Slimes (Small) are guaranteed to drop at least 1 slime ball, and can drop up to 2.
-Spiders no longer give additional string or spider eyes with Looting.
-Spiders have a chance to drop cobwebs with Looting, but it is rarer than when killing Cave Spiders.
-Squids no longer drop additional ink sacs with Looting.
-Strays no longer drop additional bones, arrows, or tipped arrows with Looting.
-Strays naturally drop more bones, arrows, and tipped arrows.
-Striders no longer drop additional string with Looting.
-Striders now have a chance to drop Warped Fungus with Looting.
-Trader Llamas are guaranteed to drop at least 2 leather, and can drop up to 4. (Same change as normal Llamas)
-Trader Llamas have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Turtles no longer drop additional seagrass with Looting.
-Vindicators are no longer affected by Looting, drop 1-4 emeralds instead.
-Witches are no longer affected by Looting, but have been changed to give more items overall.
-Wither Skeletons are no longer affected by Looting.
-Wither Skeletons give more bones overall.
-Zoglins are no longer affected by Looting, and give more rotten flesh naturally.
-Zoglins now have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Zombies are no longer affected by Looting.
-Zombies give more rotten flesh overall.
-Zombie Horses are no longer drop additional rotten flesh with Looting.
-Zombie Horses drop more rotten flesh naturally.
-Zombie Horses now have a chance to drop bones with Looting.
-Zombified Piglins are no longer affected by Looting, and drop more gold nuggets and rotten flesh overall.

 

 

 

Gameplay Loot Tables Changes:

 

-Fishing:

Junk:
-Leather can no longer be fished up.
-The frequency of Bowls being fished up has been decreased.
-The frequency of Tripwire Hooks being fished up has been decreased.
-Cocoa Beans can now be fished up.
-A collection of 8 Spider Eyes can be fished up.
-Prismarine Shards (2-4) can now be fished up in Deep Ocean biomes.
-Prismarine Crystals (2-4) can now be fished up in Deep Ocean biomes.
-Coal (1-3) can now be fished up.
-Verdant, Ochre, and Pearlescent Froglights can now be fished up in Swamp (and Mangrove Swamp) biomes.
-Wet Sponges can now be fished up in Deep Ocean biomes.
-Slime Balls (1-7) can now be fished up in Swamp (and Mangrove Swamp) biomes.
-Tridents can be fished up during rainy weather, but are usually damaged.
-Glow Ink Sacs (5) can be fished up below Y-45.
-Scute can be fished up.
-In The End, Chorus Fruit can be fished up occasionally.


Treasure:
-Saddles can no longer be fished up.
-During rain, Mob Heads can be fished up. They are more common with Luck of the Sea.
-During rain, Enchanted Tridents can be fished up. They are more common with Luck of the Sea.
-In The End, Dragon's Breath can be fished up occasionally.

-Added Suspicious Sand to the Fishing Treasure category. Only caught by fishing in warm oceans and deserts where it naturally generates.
-Added Suspicious Gravel to the Fishing Treasure category. Only caught by fishing in cold oceans and biomes where trail ruins naturally generate.


Other Changes to Fishing:
-Junk Loot probability increased from 10% to 15%
-Treasure Loot probability increased from 5% to 7%
-Fish Loot probability decreased from 85% to 76%
-Added new "Sunken Chests category. 2% of the time, a (Vanilla Structure) Loot chest will be fished up (Note: Biome Dependent)
-Sunken Chests do not require open water to be caught, and are not affected by the Luck of the Sea enchant.
-Sunken Chests include EVERY vanilla structure CHEST, except for those encountered exclusively in the Nether.
-Make sure you are in the biome you want to obtain the loot from. Use F3 to check, and check the bobber location as well.
-For structures normally found underground, you must fish below Y-Level 45 to have a chance to obtain their chests.
-For end city loot, you must fish in The End.


-Hero of the Village / Villager Gifts

-All villagers will gift more than once, some more than others.
-Armorers can now gift different types of horse armor.
-Cartographers can now gift compasses and globe banner patterns.
-Clerics can now gift Bottle O' Enchanting.
-Farmers can now gift apples and cakes.
-Fisherman now gift cooked cod and cooked salmon instead of raw cod/salmon.
-Fisherman can now gift pufferfish, tropical fish, and enchanted fishing rods.
-Leatherworkers can now gift saddles.
-Librarians can now gift enchanted books and name tags.
-Masons can now gift (undyed) terracotta, quartz blocks, tuff, and calcite.
-Shepherds can now gift paintings.
-Toolsmiths now gift enchanted iron tools instead of stone tools.
-Toolsmiths can now gift bells.
-Weaponsmiths no longer gift stone or gold axes.
-Weaponsmiths can now gift iron swords, which are sometimes enchanted, as well as bells.

 

-Cat Gifts:

-Cats now gift 1 or 2 items instead of just 1.
-Cats can now gift a slime ball.
-Cats can now gift one gunpowder.
-Cats can now gift a spider eye.
-Cats can now rarely gift a music disc that would normally drop from a Creeper.


-Piglin Bartering:

-Medium chance that a Piglin barters 3-6 Crimson Fungi.
-Very Rare chance that a Piglin barters a Snout Banner Pattern.

 

-Sniffer Digging:

-Sniffers now have a small chance to sniff up Suspicious Gravel or Suspicious Sand.

-Brewing:
-Blaze Rod, crafted from 2 Netherite Scrap, 1 Lava Bucket, and 6 Gold Ingots.
-Ghast Tear, crafted from 1 Honey Bottle, 1 Sculk Vein, and 1 Blaze Powder.
-9 Nether Wart, craftable from 1 Nether Wart Block.

 

-Building Blocks:
-8 Blackstone, crafted from 1 Coal Block and 8 Cobblestone.
-3 Calcite, crafted from 5 Dead Corals of any kind, and 4 Dead Coral Fans of any kind.
-6 End Stone, crafted from 4 Chorus Fruit, 1 Obsidian, and 4 Sandstone.
-4 Gravel, crafted from 2 Basalt and 2 Cobblestone.
-Netherrack is the product of smelting Smooth Basalt.
-Tuff is the product of smelting Magma Blocks.

 

-Combat:
-A Totem of Undying can be crafted with 2 Emeralds, 4 Gold Ingots, 1 Blaze Powder, 1 Ghast Tear, and 1 Magma Cream.

 

-Decorations:
-2 Brain Coral Blocks can be crafted from 5 Brain Coral and 4 Brain Coral Fans.
-2 Bubble Coral Blocks can be crafted from 5 Bubble Coral and 4 Bubble Coral Fans.
-Chorus Flower can be crafted from 5 Chorus Fruits and 4 Bone Meal.
-Cobwebs can be crafted from 5 String.
-Crimson Nylium can be crafted from 1 Netherrack, 1 Bone Meal, and 1 Crimson Roots.

-2 Slime Balls can be crafted from 1 Honey Bottle, 1 Bone Meal, 1 Glow Lichen, and 1 Glow Berries.
-Wither Skeleton Skull can be crafted from 1 Skeleton Skull, 1 Fire Charge, and 1 Soul Sand.
