Like some of you, I was also a little disappointed that Mojang didn't improve old swamp and birch biomes in 1.19. I hope you enjoy these additions:
- Added the smaller mangrove trees to old swamps. They will only generate near / in water.
- Replaced the old swamp trees' tree types from oak to mangrove.
- Added fallen trees to birch biomes
- Tweaks to swamp cave generation checks so caves stay below ground instead of sometimes generating below cliffs.
Notes:
Pines and other tree types will get their fallen variants in the coming betas.
Some of you have asked about support for Terralith & other datapacks, so from 1.8, DWAEBH won't edit vanilla Minecraft terrain features, just the biome files. Which means compatibility with other worldgen data packs (hopefully!).
Support for Large biomes and Amplified worlds is still planned for DWAEBH 1.8 :)
DWAEBH 1.8 will be released for 1.19 first, then I will backport it to 1.18.2.
