What's new

Changelog — MovingChunks 1.0.0

Chaos Cycle

Periodic swapping of terrain chunks around players, block by block
Triggers by default at every Minecraft midnight (18,000 ticks); real-time mode available as an option
Selection radius automatically capped at each player's client render distance
Number of candidate chunks per player is configurable

Build Protection

Any block placed or modified by a player remains protected as long as there has been an interaction (placing, breaking, clicking, walking on it) within the last 24 real-world hours
After this period, the block reverts to a "natural" state and can be swapped—along with its block entity contents (chests, furnaces, spawners, signs, banners, etc.)

Generated Structures

Blocks belonging to generated structures (villages, temples, fortresses, etc.) remain in place individually, even if the surrounding chunk changes

Player Safety

Players are temporarily lifted and then safely set down on the new terrain during a swap

Dimensions

Overworld always included; Nether included by default; End excluded by default

Commands

/movingchunks start / stop / move <n> / now / info
/chaos stats

Compatibility

Targets Paper 1.20 build 262 (Java 21) — not compatible with vanilla Spigot/CraftBukkit
