Introduction

Hello, my name is Piko, and today I am here to show you my brand new minigame, called HotPotato. In DevBukkit there is already a HotPotato plugin, but i thought I could make a better one, and more configurable, so here I am! Just wanted to say that I am portuguese, so sorry for my english =P

The Game

In this game, a random player is choosed to be the potato, and he has a 20 seconds timer (configurable) before blows up. He can pass the potato by hitting a player, but the timer wont reset! Be fast, because this minigame is all about the speed! The selected potato gets fancy stuff, he gets a TNT head and firework particles on his location! When there is only 1 player left, the game ends, and you can give economy rewards (vault) or hotpotato coins (configurable). With that, you can purchase perks and become better and better at this game!

• /hotpotato create <arena> - Creates a arena (hotpotato.admin)
• /hotpotato delete <arena> - Deletes a arena (hotpotato.admin)
• /hotpotato setmin <arena> <min> - Defines arena's minimum players (hotpotato.admin)
• /hotpotato setmax <arena> <max> - Defines arena's maximum players (hotpotato.admin)
• /hotpotato setlobby/setspawn/setspawn <arena> - Manages arena locations (hotpotato.admin)
• /hotpotato reload - Reloads all the configs (hotpotato.admin)

Other Permissions

• Join full games - hotpotato.vip
• Make and break signs - hotpotato.sign

Newbie Tutorial

1. Download the .jar of this plugin
2. Copy and paste it into your plugins folder in the server folder
3. Reload or restart you server
4. Have fun exploding potatoes

Setting up your first arena

1. First do /hotpotato create <name>, replace <name> with the name that you want
2. Then we must define the locations, by doing /hotpotato setspawn/setlobby/setspec <arena> (Dont write "setspawn/setlobby/setspec", just use one of them for each location or you will get a unknown command
3. Optional: Define the minimum and maximum players with /hotpotato setmin <arena> <min> and /hotpotato setmax <arena> <max> (By default they are set as it is on the config.yml)
4. Optional: Place a join sign
5. Play with /hotpotato join <arena>

Other Information

This plugin uses hidendra's Metrics system to send server related information like player count, java/bukkit/plugin version etc. to the official MCStats servers. You can disable this in the config.yml in plugins/PluginMetrics/.
