Fabricafy
Bring more vanilla Minecraft mechanics to Paper.
Fabricafy is an experimental Paper server plugin designed to restore selected vanilla-like mechanics and technical behaviors that Paper servers may disable, change, or limit by default.
From technical redstone contraptions and duplication mechanics to attribute swapping, fishing-rod stasis chambers, and tamed-wolf behavior, Fabricafy aims to give technical players more control over how their server behaves.
Fabricafy does not replace Paper with Fabric Loader or guarantee complete vanilla parity. Instead, it combines configurable Paper compatibility settings with targeted server-side mechanics.
Features
⚙️ Vanilla Mechanics Compatibility
- Configures selected Paper settings to restore vanilla-like behavior.
- Supports configurable piston-based duplication mechanics, including TNT, carpets, and rails.
- Enables gravity-block duplication, such as sand and gravel through End portals.
- Provides configuration for headless pistons, tripwire-hook duplication, and permanent-block-breaking mechanics.
- Uses Paper's vanilla redstone implementation where supported.
🔴 Technical Redstone
- Adjusts selected redstone and machine-related settings.
- Configures vanilla-style container and spawner tick intervals.
- Removes the configured delay before chunk unloading.
- Allows configuration of the per-tick TNT explosion limit.
- Aims to improve compatibility with technical survival contraptions, including complex redstone machines and orbital strike cannons.
⚔️ Vanilla Attribute Swapping
- Configures Paper's equipment-update behavior to enable vanilla-like attribute swapping.
- Designed for technical combat setups that depend on rapid equipment switching.
- Exact behavior may still differ from vanilla in certain edge cases.
🎣 Fishing-Rod Stasis Chambers
- Adds a server-side fishing-rod stasis-chamber mechanic.
- Associates a fishing rod with a pressure plate when its bobber rests on it.
- Reusing the associated rod releases the chamber.
- Designed to work with a real Ender Pearl and redstone circuit rather than replacing the chamber with a direct-teleport command.
🐺 Tamed-Wolf Behavior
- Includes a fallback for injured, sitting tamed wolves whose owner is far away.
- Attempts to teleport the wolf to a safe location near its owner when the configured conditions are met.
- Avoids deliberately teleporting wolves across dimensions.
🐾 Entity and Mob Mechanics
- Configures shared mob-cap behavior where supported.
- Disables entity activation-range throttling through Paper's configuration.
- Adjusts entity collision limits for technical farms and entity-heavy setups.
- Provides a foundation for testing vanilla-like mob farm behavior.
🖥️ Server-Side Compatibility
- No Fabric client mod is required for the plugin's server-side features.
- Intended for Paper servers running supported Java clients.
- Geyser, Floodgate, and other client compatibility should be tested on the actual server.
- Includes configuration management and administrative commands.
Commands
Command| Description
"/fabricafy help"| Display available commands
"/fabricafy status"| Check compatibility settings
"/fabricafy repair"| Reapply supported compatibility settings
Permission: "fabricafy.admin" — granted to server operators by default.
The "fabfy" command alias is also available.
Installation
1. Back up your server world and configuration files.
2. Place the Fabricafy JAR in your server's "plugins" directory.
3. Start the server and review the plugin's console messages.
4. Check the generated configuration and compatibility warnings.
5. Fully restart the server whenever Paper settings require a restart.
6. Test technical contraptions in a separate world before using them on a live server.
Important Notes
Fabricafy is experimental. Some features depend on Paper configuration settings, while others use targeted plugin-level behavior. A normal Paper plugin cannot reproduce every Fabric mod, internal engine modification, or vanilla update-suppression mechanic.
Enabling duplication exploits, permanent-block-breaking behavior, or unlimited TNT processing can damage worlds and cause severe server lag. Use these options carefully.
The current release has not been verified through live Paper 26.2 server testing. Compatibility with individual contraptions, Geyser/Floodgate, and other plugins may vary.
Project goal: More vanilla mechanics. More technical freedom. Fewer artificial limitations.
