CreativeLock
CreativeLock is a Paper server plugin for controlling what selected players can do in Creative mode. It uses permissions from your server's permissions plugin and can protect Creative-placed blocks from dropping items when broken.
FEATURES
• Restrict Creative inventory access by item group, including spawn eggs, potions, vehicles, and placeable entities.
• Prevent restricted players from picking up or dropping items, and from moving items into or out of containers.
• Track Creative-placed blocks so they do not drop items when broken. Protection follows piston movement and is removed when the block is broken.
• Restrict selected blocks in Creative and restrict FAWE or WorldEdit changes to configured block types.
• Protect a WorldEdit selection, visualize protected blocks, inspect a block, and remove stale protection records.
• Write blocked actions to an audit log and alert players with the alert permission.
• Override item groups and restrictions per world.
• Store protection data in a separate file or MySQL database.
FastAsyncWorldEdit is optional. When installed, CreativeLock enables FAWE edit tracking and WorldEdit restrictions.
FAWE SETUP
To let FAWE track CreativeLock blocks created by WorldEdit or FAWE edits, add CreativeLock's extent to FAWE's allowed-plugins list:
- Start the server once with FAWE installed so it creates its config file.
- Stop the server and open plugins/FastAsyncWorldEdit/config.yml.
- Find extent, then allowed-plugins. Add this entry under that list, keeping the same indentation as any existing entries:
com.creativelock.FaweEditTracker$ProtectedBlockExtent
- Save the file and restart the server.
Keep any other entries already in the list. This setup is needed for FAWE edit tracking; ordinary Creative block tracking does not require FAWE.
REQUIREMENTS
Paper 26.1.2 build 74 and Paper 26.3 build 222, built against the Paper 26.1 API
Java 25
FastAsyncWorldEdit is optional. FAWE is required for edit tracking and WorldEdit selection features.
These two Paper builds have been tested. Other Paper builds and Bukkit/Spigot compatibility have not been verified.
INSTALLATION
- Download CreativeLock-1.0.0.jar.
- Place the JAR in your server's plugins folder.
- Restart the server.
- Grant permissions through your permissions plugin and edit plugins/CreativeLock/config.yml as needed.
- Run /cl reload after changing the config.
PERMISSIONS

CONFIGURATION
Item restrictions are organized under creative-menu.disabled-groups. Default groups include eggs, spawn eggs, spawners, potions, vehicles, entities, and blocks. A group's material list controls both taking the item from Creative inventory and using it. The older flat creative-menu.disabled-items and creative-menu.disabled-blocks settings remain supported.
Per-world overrides are configured under world-settings, using the world name. A per-world item group replaces that same global group; other groups inherit their global values. Per-world block lists replace their global list when configured.
Blocked-action logging is enabled by default and writes to plugins/CreativeLock/audit.log. Admin alerts are enabled by default. Players also need creativelock.alerts to receive them.
See the generated config.yml for storage, visualization, stale cleanup, WorldEdit, and interaction-control settings.
