Description
While enabled, when a player dies, they are immediately added to the ban list and kicked from the server. A message is posted in chat, so that all your players can laugh at how terribly bad the player was at hardcore mode.
There is one command available: /deathban [on|off]
If you can't work out what that command does, you perhaps shouldn't be hosting a server.
Permissions nodes are supplied to allow use of the above command: deathban.admin
And also to bypass the plugin, regardless of whether or not it is enabled: deathban.bypass
NB: Please bear in mind that this project is something I do in my spare time. It's quite possible that there will be bugs, and unfortunately I cannot be held accountable for these. If you do encounter a bug, please do not hesitate to send me a PM, and I'll try and get it fixed as soon a possible.
Plans for the future
I'm hoping to add more and more features, each time pushing the plugin further towards a fully featured gamemode.
However, what I see at the beginning of this project is a nice, simple, working plugin. It does what it's supposed to do, and doesn't get in the way. For that reason, I'm going to try and maintain a version that remains as simple as possible, while also developing a more feature-rich version.
Server admins are then free to choose which branch of the plugin they wish to install on their server. Everybody stays happy...
