What's new

Amethyst Runeworks 0.1.0-beta.12

Beta for Minecraft Java Edition 26.3. Requires Java 25 and a Paper or CraftBukkit server. Players need no client mod or resource pack.

New in beta.12: quarry animation

  • Two thin crossed rails follow the quarry's mining crystal sideways, just below the redstone outline. The rails stay at that height as the hole deepens.
  • A small downward-facing amethyst crystal sends a purple glass beam to each successfully mined block. The beam stops when work pauses.
  • The animation reuses nearby displays and cleans them up when players leave, chunks unload, the quarry is removed, or the server shuts down. It places no real blocks and does not change mining speed, drops, tools or energy costs.
  • Set visuals.quarry-animations: false to disable the effect.

Also included since CurseForge beta.9

  • Six-direction crystal links: energy and item crystals can connect sideways, up or down, across a gap of up to 16 air blocks.
  • Solid energy extensions: join amethyst blocks face-to-face in any direction to extend an energy network, including solid runs between machines. Connected lapis blocks continue to pool their touching containers.
  • Direct container ports: sneak-right-click a container face with an amethyst cluster to add an item port. Right-click the crystal for settings; left-click it to remove it. Ports work on all six faces and retain filters, stock targets and settings after restart. Double chests act as one container.
  • One connection for a furnace: a direct port on a vanilla furnace, blast furnace or smoker handles Input, Output and Fuel. Each flow has separate filters, quantity targets and an Off setting, using the correct furnace slots.
  • Simpler guide: the 42-page book explains network extensions and shared storage, retaining hoverable icons, layer blueprints and recipe links. Use /arw guide or /arw guide give for the updated book; existing copies keep their old text.

Existing lapis systems and port settings remain usable. Transfers preserve complete item data and leave items at their source when the destination is full. Neither production network loads chunks implicitly.

Verification and limits

The exact beta.12 JAR passed domain and 42-page guide checks, plus native quarry checks on Paper 26.3 build 40 and CraftBukkit 26.3 build 4660. Quarry checks cover all four rotations, real mining and exact energy/tool/drop accounting, deep beams, reused displays, OFF/full-output refusal and cleanup. The network and direct-port changes introduced in beta.10 passed native routing, item conservation, furnace-slot, migration and restart checks on both servers.

Client appearance and interactions still need player checks. Spigot, Purpur and other forks remain untested; Folia is not supported. Claim-plugin integrations remain pending, and abrupt crashes can interrupt some multi-step transactions. Teleporters are planned for a future version and are not included in this JAR.

Installation

Stop the server and back up the world and plugin data. Replace the previous Amethyst Runeworks JAR with AmethystRuneworks-0.1.0-beta.12.jar, keeping only one Amethyst Runeworks JAR in plugins, then restart. Confirm /arw version reports 0.1.0-beta.12. WorldEdit is optional.
