What's new

Featherlight Optimizer v1.1.0

FIXED

- Totem counter now actually works. In v1.0.0 the HUD panel

referenced a UI namespace that wasn't in the pack, so the game

dropped it on load and nothing ever rendered. Rebuilt as a

self-contained control tree with no external references.

- Arrow and pot counters restored alongside it (both off by

default). Positions and toggles are in

  ui/_global_variables.json.

- Two particle files were invalid JSON and were being rejected on

load, so sculk vibration and warden dig particles were never

  actually disabled.

- Removed a duplicate particle definition where two files claimed

the same identifier and load order decided the winner.

- The Mid RAM profile contained four identifiers that don't exist

in Bedrock, so those files did nothing. Three now point at the

correct names; the fourth (end crystal beam) is a rendered

entity and can't be removed by a resource pack at all.

- Apple item texture was on a 20x20 canvas while all 44 other

food textures are 24x24, making it render noticeably larger

than everything else. Rebuilt to match.

ADDED

- Particle coverage raised from 164 to all 189 vanilla particles.

The most significant additions for combat are enchanted-weapon

crit sparks and the ambient potion-effect swirl, both of which

fire constantly during fights and were previously untouched.

- New "1 - High RAM (8GB+)" profile. The list previously started

at Mid RAM, and since Bedrock only offers the profiles a pack

declares, high-end devices were forced down to a 10-chunk fog

cull with no way out. High RAM culls at 16 chunks.

- Fog now steps cleanly across tiers: 16 / 10 / 8 / 4 chunks.

CHANGED

- Removed 22 files across the profiles that re-declared particles

the base pack already handles. They were parsed every world

  load and changed nothing.

- Lingering potion clouds and noxious gas are now stripped only

on the Low and Ultra Low profiles. They show you where a

harmful area is, so removing them on higher tiers costs you

  more than it gains.

- Every particle identifier is now validated against Mojang's

official bedrock-samples resource pack rather than assumed.

CREDITS

- Totem counter rewrite modelled on Totem Counter V2 by yan,

itself inspired by onlysofun's item counter. Credit to both.

Note: a resource pack cannot change tick rate, hit registration

or netcode. This reduces what the GPU is asked to draw. It will

not fix server lag or input delay.
