Hello! It's been a long time — and this time I'm uploading a minigame map with a completely different theme, not cars!
Yacht Dice for MC-Bedrock Edition brings the classic dice game "Yacht" into Minecraft Bedrock. Pour real 3D dice out of a cup, keep the ones you want, and fill your scorecard to beat a friend or a smart AI opponent. It runs on the stable Script API only, so no experimental toggles are needed.
🎲What is Yacht Dice?
Yacht is a classic dice game. Each turn you roll five dice up to three times and put the result into one of the categories on your scorecard. Each category can be used only once, so choosing when to take a score is the key to winning.
In this map, Red and Cyan play 8 rounds (16 turns) and the higher total wins.
- Deuces / Threes / Fours / Fives / Sixes: the sum of that number
- Upper bonus: +40 points if Deuces to Sixes add up to 55 or more
- Full House (3 + 2 of a kind): the sum of all dice
- Large Straight: 30 points
- Yacht (five of a kind): 50 points
Special features:
- Animated 3D dice that shake in a cup, pour out, bounce and land
- The green Creeper die: its creeper face is wild and counts as the best number for each category
- Bottom deal: each team gets a secret bottom card (1-6 or creeper) before the match and can swap it in for a kept die
- 20-second turn timer
- Play vs AI, a step-by-step tutorial, and match records (Top 10)
- Touch/mouse and gamepad controls
- A retro-style loading screen in your language
- ...and a few hidden secrets for you to find!
🎮How to play?
1. The first player in the world (the host) is the Red team, and the next player to join is the Cyan team. Up to 2 players can play.
2. You receive a Dice item. Hold it to open the game menu. If you close the menu, use the Dice (right-click, or the Use button on mobile) to open it again.
3. In the lobby:
- Start match: Red starts a 2-player match once Cyan has joined.
- Play vs AI: anyone can play a full match alone against the AI.
- Tutorial: learn the rules with real dice.
- Match records: see the Top 10 for 2-player and AI matches.
- Rules: a quick rule summary.
4. On your turn:
- Roll: roll the dice (up to 3 times per turn).
- Tap a die to keep it in the top slots. Tap it again to take it back out; you can change your mind until you register.
- With 5 dice kept, pick a category and press Register, or press Auto to take the best-scoring category.
- With fewer than 5 kept, "Just register" fills in the remaining dice and registers the best category.
- If every open category would score 0, the button becomes "Pass!" and your turn ends without filling a cell.
5. Each step has a 20-second timer. If time runs out, the dice roll automatically. If the final timer runs out, the turn ends with no score.
6. Bottom deal: after your last (third) roll, you can swap one kept die for your secret bottom card. You can do this twice per match, and only once per round.
7. After 8 rounds, the higher total wins. Equal totals are a draw. A player who leaves in the middle of a match loses by forfeit.
8. Controls: touch/mouse is the default. To use a controller, flip the Control Mode Lever down. Then move between buttons with the D-pad or stick and press A to select.
📲🗺️How to install and play the map
- Requires Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.40 or later. The add-on is already included in the world, so you don't need to install anything else or turn on any experimental toggles.
- Download the .mcworld file and open it:
- Windows: double-click the .mcworld file. Minecraft opens and imports the world.
- Android: tap the file and choose to open it with Minecraft.
- iOS/iPadOS: open the file in the Files app, tap Share, and choose Minecraft.
- When the import finishes, "Yacht Dice for MC-BE" appears in your world list. Open it and start playing!
- To play with a friend, the host opens the world (with Multiplayer Game turned on in the world settings), and the other player joins from the Friends tab. The host is the Red team, and the player who joins is the Cyan team.
- Consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch) cannot import .mcworld files directly. Upload the world to a Realm from PC or mobile, or join a world hosted on PC or mobile.
- Good to know about this world:
- Only 2 players can join; any extra players are removed.
- Players without operator permission are set to Adventure mode, and their inventory is cleared except for the Dice item.
- Players take no damage and do not get hungry.
- The time of day is locked at sunset.
- Match records are saved inside the world.
