VOID'S REMNANTS
Fragments of a civilization older than the Deep Dark itself.
====================
WHAT THIS ADDON IS
Void's Remnants is a small exploration addon for the Deep Dark. The Warden
was not the first thing down there. Long before it, something else existed,
and all that is left of that civilization are shattered stone fragments,
a strange dust, a wandering figure that does not want to be seen, and a
compass that does not point north.
Nothing here replaces vanilla loot tables, structures, or mobs. Everything
is additive, so it should be compatible with most other addons.
====================
FEATURES
VOID SHARD
A rare fragment with a faint purple rune crack. Chests near sculk have
roughly an 18% chance of quietly containing one the first time you open
them. Picking one up triggers a short action bar message, a particle
burst, and a soft chime.
VOID RELIC
Craft 4 Void Shards around a Soul Soil block in a crafting table (plus
shape) to reconstruct the Relic. Holding it in your hand gives you a
short Night Vision effect, refreshed automatically as long as you keep
holding it.
VOID DUST
Breaking a Sculk Catalyst has a chance to drop Void Dust, a byproduct of
disturbing whatever the catalyst was feeding.
SCULK COMPASS
Crafted from a vanilla Compass, a Void Shard, and a Sculk block. It is a
held item that marks you as someone who listens to the Deep Dark rather
than just walking through it. (Purely flavor/collectible in this version,
no needle logic yet.)
WHISPERS
While near sculk, there is a small chance every few seconds of a short
ambient line appearing on your action bar along with a faint cave sound,
just atmosphere, no gameplay effect.
THE ANCIENT WANDERER
A rare, silent, humanoid figure that spawns occasionally near sculk and
slowly wanders. It does not attack and makes no sound. If you look
directly at it for about 7 ticks (a little over a third of a second), it
will vanish in a burst of particles and reappear roughly 15 to 20 blocks
away, always in a direction you were not facing. A short cinematic line
appears on screen the moment it happens: "It does not want to be seen."

HOW TO INSTALL
- Download Voids_Remnants.mcaddon.
- Open the file on the device where Minecraft Bedrock is installed. This
imports both the behavior pack and the resource pack automatically.
- Create a new world, or open an existing one.
- In world settings, go to Behavior Packs and activate Void's Remnants.
Do the same under Resource Packs.
- Under Experiments, enable Beta APIs if your version requires it for
Script API addons to function.
- Load into the world.

HOW TO USE / FIND EVERYTHING (SURVIVAL)
VOID SHARD
- Head down to the Deep Dark, ideally an Ancient City, around Y -30 to -60.
- Open chests you find near sculk blocks. Each chest has roughly an 18%
chance the first time you open it. Picking one up gives a short action
bar message, a particle burst, and a soft chime.
VOID RELIC
- Collect 4 Void Shards.
- At a crafting table, place a Soul Soil block in the center slot with a
Void Shard in each of the four slots directly above, below, left, and
right of it.
- Hold the Void Relic to get a short Night Vision effect that refreshes
automatically while it stays in your hand.
VOID DUST
- Find a Sculk Catalyst near sculk sensors (the orange-flecked block that
spawns when mobs die close to sculk).
- Mining it has a chance to also drop Void Dust alongside its normal drop.
SCULK COMPASS
- Craft a normal Compass first (4 iron plus 1 redstone).
- Mine a Sculk block, ideally with Silk Touch so it survives mining.
- Combine the Compass, a Void Shard, and the Sculk block at a crafting
table, any arrangement works.
WHISPERS
- Just explore near sculk. Occasionally a short ambient line will appear
on your action bar with a faint cave sound. Purely atmosphere.
THE ANCIENT WANDERER
- While exploring near sculk, this rare, silent, pale figure may spawn
nearby on its own.
- Look directly at it and hold your view. After roughly a third of a
second it vanishes in a particle burst and reappears 15 to 20 blocks
away, in a direction you were not facing. The line "It does not want to
be seen." appears on screen the moment it happens.
====================
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
- Void Shard chest rewards are rolled once per chest, per world session.
Reopening the same chest will not reroll it.
- The Ancient Wanderer uses vanilla player-style geometry with a simple
custom texture, not custom animations or a custom model, so its
appearance is intentionally simple.
- The Sculk Compass does not yet have directional needle logic pointing
toward sculk, it is currently a craftable flavor item.
- Requires Script API support (Beta APIs experiment on most versions).

COMPATIBILITY
Built for Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.x and up. Does not override any vanilla
files, only adds new items, a new entity, recipes, and scripts that read
world state without replacing existing data. Should be compatible with
most other addons.
