Veil of Ages

Echoes of the Past

The Veil has torn. Six ages of history — Prehistoric, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Norse — are bleeding into the present, each one guarded by echoes of what it used to be. You are a Warden, one of the rare few who can walk between the fragments without being erased by them. Explore 21 handcrafted biomes, fight 17 bosses and their variants, tame two species of dinosaur, forge armor and weapons pulled from six different civilizations, and race to seal the Veil before the ages finish merging and erase the present for good.

This is not a small addon. It is a full campaign built for Bedrock Edition, with a 12-act story, real progression gating, and no two eras that feel the same.

Why Download This

If you've ever wanted a Minecraft world that feels like it has an actual history — not just biomes with different colored grass, but real ages, each with their own architecture, their own monsters, their own gods and kings and dead civilizations to dig through — this is built for that. Every material you mine, every boss you fight, every piece of gear you forge ties back into a single story about a barrier between "now" and "then" breaking apart. You are not just surviving. You are racing against six collapsing timelines to stop them from swallowing your world.

If you love dinosaurs, you can tame a velociraptor pack-hunter and ride a triceratops into battle. If you love mythology and ancient history, you'll fight a pharaoh who never got his funeral, an undefeated Roman gladiator who doesn't know the crowd left, and a Norse einherjar still waiting in an empty hall for warriors who are never coming. If you love long-term progression, there's a full 12-act story, a custom crafting station with recipes that unlock as you play, and an endgame weapon built from fragments of every age you've conquered.

The Story

Veil tear concept art

Before there was a Warden, there was only the Veil — a thin membrane holding every age apart from every other. No one alive remembers who cut it. When it tore, the past did not stay in the past. Fragments of six civilizations now overlap with the present, each one sealed behind its own guardian echoes: memories of an age, given form and violence.

You can walk into these fragments and survive contact — most people cannot. That single advantage is the only reason you have a chance. Explore each age, defeat its bosses, and claim a Resonant Core representing that age's ending. Collect all six, and the Veil Crystal can be forged. What it actually opens, even the oldest records disagree on.

Full lore is not dumped on you in a wall of text — it's discovered. 24 lore tablets are scattered across every region, each one a short readable fragment building out the world piece by piece. Read them in any order. Piece the story together yourself.

The Six Ages (Plus the Void)

Prehistoric Era

Prehistoric biome Long before ziggurats or pyramids, this age simply survived. Explore Fern Hollow, Tar Pit Basin, and the Volcanic Nesting Grounds — three distinct biomes ranging from lush prehistoric jungle to sticky black tar wetlands to active volcanic breeding grounds. Mine cracked amber, fossil stone, tar blocks, and harvest giant cycads. Tame and ride a Velociraptor for speed or a Triceratops for raw durability. Watch out for the Amber Scavenger pack hunters and the slow, sticky Tar Wraith that lurks in the pits. At the top of the food chain: the apex Tyrant Rex Echo and the ambush-hunting Spinosaur Ambusher.

Mesopotamia Era

Mesopotamia biome The first cities, the first written laws, the first kings who called themselves chosen by the sky. Wander the Ziggurat Steppe, the Cracked Riverlands, and the Cuneiform Archive Ruins — a library of tablets in a language nobody living can fully read anymore. Build with mudbrick, ziggurat tile, and cuneiform tablet blocks. Fight the patrol golem Clay Watcher and the fast riverland ambusher Reed Stalker. Face down Clay Sentinel, a servant golem that still believes it's serving someone, the winged guardian Lamassu Echo, and the boss of this age — The Unwritten King, a monarch erased from every record but this fragment.

Egypt Era

Egypt biome Sand does not forget, it only buries. Explore the Sundered Dunes, the Sunken Pyramid Depths, and the Canopic Wastes. Mine sandstone glyph blocks, rare gold capstones, and canopic shelf stone. Swarming Scarab Swarm groups and the tanky Mummy Warden patrol the ruins. Two bosses guard this age's secrets: the sand-serpent Serpent of the Dunes and Pharaoh's Echo — an undying king whose funeral, in this fragment, never actually happened. Craft the Hourglass of Anubis, a relic that lets you borrow a few borrowed seconds of stolen time.

Greece Era

Greece biome Marble and war, remembered in equal measure. Explore the Marble Ruins, the Aegean Cliffside, and the Oracle Highlands. Build with marble columns, mosaic floor tiles, and olive wood. The standard ruin guard Bronze Hoplite Echo patrols the columns, while a rare neutral Oracle Wisp drifts through the highlands, fleeing on sight but occasionally dropping oracle dust if caught. Face Gorgon Queen, whose gaze is not something you want to test, and The Unbeaten Champion — an arena fighter with no recorded losses, still waiting for someone worth remembering.

Rome Era

Rome biome Beneath the coliseum, the catacombs run deeper than anyone above ever let on. Explore the Coliseum Ruins, the Catacomb Depths, and the Legion Road Ruins — a marching road that was built toward a destination erased from every map. Mine travertine brick and aqueduct stone. Standard drilled squads of Legionnaire Echo patrol in formation, while the faster, more aggressive Gladiator Shade hunts alone. Two bosses rule this age: Legion Commander, and The Undefeated Gladiator — sold into the arena as a child, fighting still in a crowd that never actually left.

Norse Era

Norse biome The frost here is old enough to remember when the world was smaller. Explore Frostforge Peaks, the Root of Yggdrasil, and the brutal Fenrir Wastes. Mine runestones and rare frostforge iron. Standard undead Draugr Echo patrol the frost, while the larger elite Frost Jotun-Kin hits far harder and takes real preparation to fight. Two of the toughest fights in the whole addon live here: The Deathless Einherjar, chosen to feast and fight forever in a hall now standing empty, and the Tier 4 hidden boss Fenrir's Echo — decide for yourself what it means that the chain built to hold him clearly didn't.

The Void / Temporal Endgame

Void biome Where all six fragments start to overlap at once. Explore the Void Nexus, the Temporal Ruins, and the Chronosphere Core — the final biome in the game. Small Void Wisp and flickering, teleporting Temporal Echo harass anyone who wanders too deep. This is where the campaign ends: Echo Architect, a precise, geometric caster boss unlike anything organic you've fought before; Convergence Titan, a massive fused wreckage of all six ages cracking apart at the seams; and finally The Final Echo — the last fight in the game, and the only entity that visually carries fragments of every single age you've walked through to get there.

Full Crafting & Progression System

The Resonant Forge

Resonant Forge block image A custom crafting station (not a menu reskin — a full custom in-game UI) that gates recipes behind your actual story progress. Early recipes are available immediately; era-specific gear unlocks only after you've claimed that era's completion shard. No recipe is ever hidden arbitrarily — the forge always tells you exactly what you're missing.

Seven Full Armor Sets

Set Era Tier
Fossilbone Prehistoric 1
Ziggurat Bronze Mesopotamia 1
Pharaoh's Regalia Egypt 2
Hoplite Phalanx Greece 2
Praetorian Rome 3
Einherjar Norse 3

  • Pharaoh's Khopesh (Egypt)
  • Champion's Dory (Greece)
  • Gladius of the Undefeated (Rome)
  • Einherjar's Axe (Norse)

Key Relics

  • Hourglass of Anubis — a stolen afternoon of time, looped forever
  • Veil Sight Rune — lets a Warden finally see the seams between overlapping ages
  • Veil Crystal — the endgame crafting component, forged from all six era shards
  • Amber-Preserved Ration and Legion Marching Ration — usable food items
  • Ziggurat Seal Charm, Scarab Luck Talisman, Laurel Victor's Wreath, Frostforge Warming Charm — held relics tied to each age

24 Lore Tablets

Right-click any tablet to read it. Fully written, era-appropriate lore fragments — not filler text — spread across all six ages plus core Veil lore and Convergence-stage revelations. Piece together what actually happened to each of these civilizations, entirely at your own pace.

The 12-Act Story

Your progress is tracked automatically as you play — no manual commands needed. Defeat bosses, collect era shards, and the story escalates on its own. Once you've claimed a completion shard from all six ages, the Convergence automatically triggers: the hardest content in the game unlocks, and the world begins visibly reacting to how close the ages are to fully merging.

Custom Blocks (26 Total)

Every era has its own building palette so bases and builds actually look like they belong to that age:

Prehistoric: cracked amber, fossil stone, tar block, prehistoric fern, giant cycad Mesopotamia: mudbrick, ziggurat tile, cuneiform tablet block, reed thatch Egypt: sandstone glyph, gold capstone, canopic shelf, papyrus bundle Greece: marble column, laurel hedge, mosaic floor, olive wood Rome: travertine brick, legion standard, mosaic tile (Rome), aqueduct stone Norse: runestone, frostforge iron, yggdrasil bark, valknut tile Plus: the Resonant Forge crafting station block itself
