Unknown Block Remover v2.0.0
What's new
v2.0.0
New
- Only blocks from addons that are no longer installed are found and removed. Blocks from installed addons are never touched, so it's safe even when an addon update dropped some of its blocks but kept others
- A new panel built with Minecraft's data-driven forms, with status and counts that update live while it's open
- Scan preview: a scan lists every unknown block type within 64 blocks, with counts and the nearest location of each, and removes nothing until you choose what to remove and confirm
- Teleport to the nearest unknown block of an addon from the scan results, to check it before removing anything
- Replace removed blocks with air, or with a matching neighbouring block so walls and floors don't end up with holes. Clumps of unknown blocks fill in from the outside
- A count of the blocks auto-removal has removed around you this session
Changed
- Much faster scanning: the game itself now picks out the unknown blocks. Scanning 64 blocks around you takes under 20 milliseconds, where v1.0.0 took most of a second at half that distance
- The list of removed addons found, and the choice of which to clean up, are now shared by every admin in the world. Auto-removal on/off, interval, radius and replacement stay per admin
- Settings save as you change them
- Auto-removal shows one action bar message when it removes something, instead of a message on every scan plus a chat message
- Requires Minecraft 1.26.0 or newer
Fixed
- Scans that reached unloaded chunks failed silently and removed nothing. The loaded part is now scanned
- Height limits are read from the game instead of being fixed per dimension
Upgrading from v1.0.0
- Addons you had selected for removal are kept and moved to the shared list. Scan once to rebuild the found list, which now only shows removed addons
