TT20 Bedrock: TPS Monitor & Crowd Control
Inspired by the Java mod TT20, built for Minecraft Bedrock (including mobile). Install it, load your world, and play. There is nothing to configure and no commands to type. It works in Survival with cheats off.
Bedrock add-ons can't change the game's tick rate, so this pack works around lag instead: it watches TPS in real time and cuts down the work the game has to do.
Features
Live TPS HUD. A small readout (TPS, 10s and 1m averages, crowd status) appears on screen automatically when TPS drops below 17 and disappears when the game recovers.
Adaptive lag mode. Below 14 TPS, mob, patrol, trader and phantom spawning pauses. Below 10 TPS, fire spread and random ticks pause too. Everything is restored when TPS recovers, even if the world is reloaded in between.
Crowd control for big NPC armies. Far-away mobs and add-on NPCs go to sleep and turn invisible, and only the nearest 300 stay awake and visible. The radius and the cap shrink automatically as TPS falls. While TPS is low, distant custom living units are saved and temporarily removed, then respawned when you come back near.
Eating and drinking fix. If lag leaves you stuck on a bite, the pack finishes it in real time.
Day-cycle sync keeps the day and night cycle on real-time pace during lag.
Entity cleanup. Dropped items, XP and arrows over a cap are cleared while lagging. Tagged entities are never touched.
Command queue. Repeated identical commands from command blocks are merged and spread out when TPS is low.
For add-on developers. TPS and lag level are published to a tt20 scoreboard objective, so other add-ons can read them.
Compatibility
Works alongside other add-ons, including Total War–style army add-ons. It adds no tags to your entities and uses only stable Script APIs.
Requires Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.52 or newer.
Good to know
It can't speed up a slow device. It reduces the work the game has to do, so very large armies are still limited by your hardware.
Units respawned after hibernation keep their type, position, rotation, name, tags and health, but lose equipment and riders. Vanilla mobs are never hibernated.
Optional commands (cheats on): /scriptevent tt20:tps for status, tt20:profile to see this pack's own cost, and tt20:top to find the heaviest entities.
