TC Personal Chest Loot

Individual chest loot for each player in Minecraft Bedrock. Every player gets their own individual loot from the same chest, so no one misses out just because another player opened or looted it first.

Description

Important Notes

  • Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.40 or later is required.
  • It is not recommended to install this add-on on an existing world that has already been played. Installing it on an existing world may cause some existing chests to lose their contents.
  • If you still choose to install the add-on on an existing world and a chest is affected, use /tc:loot_menu while looking at the chest to access the manager and restore it.
  • Back up your world before installing the add-on on an existing world.

How It Works

  • Each player gets their own loot when opening the same chest.
  • Items taken by one player do not affect the loot available to other players.
  • Interact with a loot chest once to prepare your loot. When you receive the ready message, interact with it again to open your personal loot.
  • Look at a loot chest to see its status. Unlooted and already-looted chests have different indicators.
  • While another player is looting a chest, it is temporarily reserved for them. If you try to open it, you will see who is currently using it. Wait for them to finish, then try again.
  • You do not have to take everything at once. Any items you leave behind are saved for you, and you can return to the same chest later to collect them.
  • Your looting session ends if you move too far from where you started opening the chest (about 1.5 blocks horizontally), change dimensions, open another chest, leave the world, or are defeated. Moving directly up or down does not end the session.
  • You must open and loot a chest before you can break it. Breaking a chest you have already looted drops your remaining personal items along with the chest itself. If you have never opened the chest, you cannot break it.
  • Hoppers connected to loot chests cannot extract the loot inside.
  • Player-placed chests and protected legacy chests are not automatically converted into loot chests.

How to Use

  1. Find a loot chest by its marker and status indicator.

  2. Interact with the chest once and wait for the ready message.

  3. Interact with it a second time to open your personal loot.

  4. Take the items you want while staying near the chest.

  5. When you are finished, simply walk away. Any items left behind are saved for you.

  6. Return to the same chest later whenever you want to collect your remaining items.

Administration

  • /tc:loot_menu — Opens the manager for the chest you are looking at.
  • /tc:loot_view — Shows the original loot saved for the targeted chest.
  • /tc:loot_reset — Resets your personal loot for the targeted chest, allowing you to loot it again.
