Description
Smile Cat
A psychological horror add-on for Minecraft Bedrock.
A tall, thin, smiling cat is watching you. It doesn’t just attack: it follows you, waits for the right moment and hunts you. Nothing happens on day 0, and every day you survive makes it bolder.
⚠ Warnings
- Strong jump scares (black screen, image and loud scream), disturbing sounds, lights going out and chases. Not recommended for people sensitive to sudden images, flashes or loud audio.
- The cat breaks doors, glass and blocks. Back up your world before playing.
13 events
- Sounds: distant footsteps, cries and knocks (day 1), then calls and footsteps (day 2)
- Observation: it only moves when you look away, and there is a fake version that ends in a scare
- Shadow on the hill: a figure watching from far away at night
- Surprise chase: it runs straight at you
- At home: lights going out, a face at the window, knocking at your door
- Underground: it appears at the end of your tunnel
- Jump scares: black screen, image and scream
- The flying head: fast, relentless, destroys blocks and kills mobs in its way
Horror progression
Every player has their own “horror days”, +1 at each dawn. Events unlock gradually: footsteps and calls on day 2, lights and windows on day 3, tunnels and knocking on day 4, jump scares on day 5 and the flying head on day 8. The horror peaks at day 20, and dying to the cat gives you a short breather.
Smart director
It builds tension, then lets you breathe. Events come in bursts, sometimes after a warning (a strange sound, a flickering light or a faraway cry). An event that just happened becomes less likely for a while. It also pauses for AFK players and when your health is low.
It reacts to you
Going near your bed, leaving home at night, going underground, mining deep with few torches, storms, opening chests and standing still in the dark all change what it does.
It learns about you
- Your favorite door and where you mine
- The tricks you use to escape (towers, holes, boats, portals, barricades)
- Your house: it tells a real house from a cave or a camp, and uses only the doors, windows and lights that actually exist
Bloody mode
After killing a player twice, the cat looks bloody for the next 2 events.
Multiplayer
It prefers isolated players, nearby players hear calls and footsteps, and the music is per player. It won’t break another player’s house.
Settings and commands
Three difficulty presets (/scriptevent cartoon_cat:difficulty easy|normal|hard) and 240+ settings (/scriptevent cartoon_cat:cfg). You can also trigger any event manually, for example /scriptevent cartoon_cat:observation, :chase1, :knock, :window, :jumpscare or :headstauq. Use :dread to see or change your horror day and :timeline to see what is coming.
