π Skyborne Dragons
Hatch them. Raise them. Ride them into battle. Then hunt the Dragon Lords.
Skyborne Dragons adds 21 tamable dragons, each with animations, element, close-range ability and ranged ability. It also adds 15 colossal Dragon Lord bosses that sleep inside huge, detailed lairs scattered across your world. Every boss has its own medieval-techno battle music, a cinematic intro, three escalating fight phases and legendary loot.
π₯ Raise Your Own Dragon
- Find dragon nests in the wild (look for bone and hay rings with an egg in the middle), or tame a wild dragon with Dragon Treats
- Place the egg. Fire, lava or a campfire next to it makes it hatch faster
- Your hatchling imprints on you and grows from Hatchling → Juvenile → Adult. Treats speed this up
- Saddle an adult and fly. Look to steer, hold jump to climb, and sneak to get off
- Protect your dragon with Dragon Armour: iron, gold, diamond or netherite
- Use the Dragon Horn to command your dragons: follow, stay, sit, or call them to you
βοΈ 21 Dragons, 42 Unique Abilities
Every dragon has its own close ability and own ranged ability, on top of its elemental breath.
- Riding: punch a mob for the close ability, and hold the Dragon Horn for the ranged ability
- On their own:dragons fight back when attacked, defend you, join your fights, take to the sky and use their powers without a rider
A few examples:
- π₯ Ember: Flame Tail Sweep and Fireball Volley
- βοΈ Frost: Frost Bite (freezes foes in ice) and Ice Shard Spread
- πͺοΈ Gale Wyvern: Wing Buffet and a Cyclone that chases enemies
- 𦴠Bonewyrm: Bone Crunch and Bone Spears erupting from the ground
- π Aurora Lunar: Starlight Coil and a falling Comet
- π Sporeback Drake: Spore Burst and Mushroom Bomb
All 21 dragons: Ember, Frost, Storm, Verdant, Abyssal, Shadow, Gale Wyvern, Jade Lung, Magma Drake, Bramble Hydra (three heads!), Lumen Moth Dragon, Plumed Raptor, Tidecaller Leviathan, Stormray, Seraph Dragon (six wings), Bonewyrm, Geode Dragon, Dune Drake, Venomfang Wyvern, Aurora Lung and Sporeback Drake.
π The 15 Dragon Lords
Ancient dragons sleep in great lairs that rise out of the world as you explore. Step onto a lair's floor and its lord awakens.
| Lord | Lair |
| Vorthrax the Ash King | Ruined Castle |
| Corvath the Carrion Crow | Abandoned Farmstead |
| Thalassar the Drowned | Sunken Temple |
| Kryos the Glacier Tyrant | Frozen Citadel |
| Mortivex the Bone Sovereign | Necropolis |
| Sylvaroth the Thorn Mother | Overgrown Cathedral |
| Pharazul the Tomb Serpent | Pharaoh's Tomb |
| Ezrakar the Storm Herald | Storm Monastery |
| Nyxara the Moon Moth | Witch's Bog Tower |
| Ignivar the Forge Behemoth | Molten Forge |

| Gemmorrah the Crystal Hoarder | Crystal Mine |
| Abyssion the Void Eater | Void Observatory |
| Ulgrath the Living Mountain | Ancient Stone Henge |
Every boss fight includes:
- π¬ A cinematic intro: the ground shakes, the camera swings in, the lord roars and its title appears
- π΅ Its own medieval-techno battle theme (war drums, hurdy-gurdy, choir and war horns over a heavy beat), which shifts and intensifies with each phase
- π₯ Three phases. At 66% health the lord becomes Enraged and unlocks a rage power. At 33% it enters Fury and unleashes an ultimate like Ashfall Apocalypse, The Deluge, Event Horizon or Tectonic Rupture. Attacks chain into combos and hit harder as the fight goes on
- π A Last Stand** at 12% health, and a dramatic death animation
- π² 90 boss powers in total**: meteor rains, tidal waves, black holes, lightning cages, bone prisons, crystal lasers, sand tornadoes and more
- πΌοΈ HD textures** of over a million pixels per boss, with sculpted scales, rocky plates, crystal facets and glowing molten cracks
π° Huge, Detailed Lairs
Each lair is around 45–50 blocks wide, built for a dragon to live in, with a full interior and exterior: throne halls, hay lofts, sarcophagi, forges, pews, bookshelves, lava channels, crystal caverns, collapsed walls, cobwebs and vines. Slay the lord to unlock the lair's **treasure hoard**.
Can't find one? Craft a Lair Seeker (compass + gold ingot + blaze powder). It points you to the nearest lair, and if none is close, it raises one out of the ground nearby.
π‘οΈ Legendary Boss Gear
Every Dragon Lord drops:
- Its own legendary weapon, a special power on use (Meteor Strike, Black Hole, Solar Lance, Earthquake…) and an effect on hit
- Pieces of its armour set, a full helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots in the lord's colours, with a full-set bonus
- Lord Scalesto craft the rest of the set (scales + a netherite ingot)
- Its Heart, which grants a 10-minute dragon's blessing
